Good win for Northwestern today over a decent Tulsa team on a neutral court. They'll play the Seton Hall/St. Joseph's winner in the championship of the Charleston Classic.

Was pretty impressed with Crawford today. He's going to be a good one.

Mizzou fans, what should I expect to see tomorrow night? I know very little of your team and I'm not sure what to make of ND yet either, especially with Abromaitis in his first game back.

Hard to say since we're 3 games in with a new coach and haven't played a power conference school, but so far they've been able to play to their strengths, which is guardplay. We have 3 guys over 6-6 and only one of those is offensively skilled, and we play a big guard(Kim English) at the 4 quite a bit. It's early, but the team is shooting incredibly well from three. If Ratliffe can stay out of foul trouble and give some inside scoring, then Mizzou will be tough with the strength of their guards. if they have to play English at the 4 for 12 minutes at a time because of foul trouble, and they're struggling from the perimeter, then they can lose to any team on their schedule. From the looks of it, it should be a battle of similar styles.

Purdue played a better Alabama team closely until under 10 to go in the second half. A couple of bad shots and turnovers and Alabama built enough of a lead that their D could put the clamps down. Alabama has an impressive amount of athleticism. Full court pressure, acrobatic dunks, etc. I'm glad Purdue beat Iona and Temple! I think those wins will matter on Selection Sunday.

I think he already is a pretty good one. Actually, I think he has a chance to play in the league. He's a tad on the small side but really has a nice all around game and is pretty athletic. Much better shooter than most would think. Plus, who wouldn't want a ref's kid on their team right? ;)

He also went to my High School, although not at the same time.

The one thing I took away from the game is Painter FINALLY taught his guys how to beat a full court press. I didn't see the whole second half, but I only remember one time where Purdue dropped the ball (literrally and figuratively) with the press applied.

The press caught them in the second half. LewJack got a 10 second violation and then AJ had the ball stripped, he recovered it and started his dribble again and the refs called it a double dribble? Those were back to back posessions and were really painful. Purdue was actually leading for a few minutes in the second half.

Couple things from tonight

1) Anthony Davis' unibrow

2) UCLA

3) Belmont might not lose again until the NCAA tournament

:(

Hope Shabazz really does come to UCLA. Need a major talent infusion. Also need the most talented player on the roster not to eat everything in sight.

I'm hoping Shabazz with the recent struggles of UCLA decides on UK. Although, I still think the Bruins are definitely the favs at this point.

If you're an assembly line, need as many as parts as possible. They're recruiting to assume the starting 5 needs to recruited annually.

Miller will be gone, I full expect Davis, Jones, Kidd-Gilchrist, Lamb, and possibly Teague to be drafted.

He may have a shot if he keeps progressing. Hit a step back baseline jumper yesterday you just don't see made very often in the college game. Or at least not in the Princeton O :D
