Yeah, only Brandon Stokely has changed his mind so far, and that was because the Redskins had roughly 200 WR's on the roster.

Sure, but I wouldn't expect too many flip-flops at this point.

I agree. However, I am still going to take all these agreements with a grain of salt. I would put a small sum of money on one or two of these reports being retracted.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if there were unannounced agreements in place too. The second that clock ticks over, the ESPN ticker is going to be crazy.

Yep. If a player flip-flops on an agreement, the player and agent have dirtied their reputations. Players can do what Olin is doing, getting offers and determining the best move without ramifications. I would expect almost all (maybe one or two falling through the cracks) reported agreements to be inked on friday.

It doesn't really matter. Most of these guys are like 26-30 years old. If they are signing a 3 or 4 year deal, that's likely to carry them through the duration of their career. Also, even if a guy does this and will need to sign another deal in 4 years when he's 30 years old, teams are going to have a very short memory on this (especially since this is a very unique situation), and they're not going to make that much money at that age anyway.

No I really dont think people are going to be going around reneging on these deals. The NBA does this every year when there is a week of talking before they are allowed to sign and every year people agree to terms well ahead of time and I cannot remember a single case of something announced as done ending up falling through. Sure if the story is 'Sources: Player X looking to sign with Team Y" I could see it as a possibility but if its "Player X agrees with Team Y", that deal is done.

Sorry, I just can't agree with this. You completely ignored the agent factor. Agents don't want the reputation of clients backing out on commitments. Also, teams can terminate contracts and some of these players may be free agents quicker and much younger than you infer. As a somewhat comparable example, when do you think is the next time the Ravens are going to even consider a trade with the Bears (like UMFan pointed out)?

It must suck to be a sportswriter on twitter.

If Olsen is gone, the Bears found someone to take one of the least efficient TEs in the NFL last year. His catch rate is terrible.

I've come to terms with it today. It's no secret Martz isnt a fan of using the TE in his offense. If we want to truely commit to martz this isn't all that bad depending on our return. Olsen always had the potential and showed strong flashes of it at times but it's not like he was pro bowl caliber.

Does Carolina even have anyone good? (Sorry, Andy.)

Apparently Warren Sapp is laughing at us on NFL Network and saying we're going backwords.

Reaction on twitter seems to be 100% in favor of Carolina here.

Bears getting a PTBNL?

Every NFL team has at least someone that's decent.

That said, I doubt we're getting anyone that good. On twitter, they are saying its literally a player to be named later. I could see us maybe getting a 3rd along with that.

I don't think I've ever heard of a PTBNL trade in the NFL.
