The Vikings have reportedly entered the mix for free agent LT Jermon Bushrod.

The Vikes wouldn't carry two left tackles, so perhaps they're looking to upgrade on Bryant McKinnie. Bushrod has that potential, but he's been highly inconsistent in New Orleans. The Bears and Saints are also in on Bushrod.

Saints reached agreement with OT Jermon Bushrod on a two-year deal.

There we go. Now you can have 2 TE sets with Olsen and Spaeth...I like that.

That's cool. But if Olsen goes now, it will be a huge fail.

Absolutely. And now do you give Olsen an extension to keep him happy?

Bushrod is not very good. One of the worst pass blockers at LT in the league for the last 3 years according to Pro Football Focus. Saints OL talent was inside by far.

Martz....2 TE sets....does not compute

They actually used the 2 TE set a lot this past year, didn't they?

but only because Cutler almost died

Well right. They used 2 TE's to help on the edges. But if you can get away with only Spaeth helping where Manumaleuna failed, you can get Olsen downfield a bit.

All 3 Atlanta OL, Colon, and Davin Joseph all still available. Best 5 OL that were on the market to begin with. Not that the Bears will get any of them....but worth pointing out.

We're literally going to sign no one. $30M contract for Forte.

My understanding may be wrong here, but I was under the impression that NOBODY has signed a single FA yet. They have to wait till tomorrow to sign anybody. Teams and players are only coming to unofficial agreements.

Right. I don't know how to respond to that.

I guess what I'm saying is, it's not the end of the world that they haven't signed anyone yet because nobody is technically able to sign a free agent yet. All these agreements everyone is talking about mean nothing until the player signs on the dotted line. Until then, these players can have their agents talking to other teams.
