I mean, were any of Green Bay's losses legitimate this year?

?

You can't be serious. The first Bears/Packers thread was 14 pages of Packers fans saying they actually won the game. The Lions game wasn't really a loss either. Now the Falcons game doesn't count. I'm sure the Redskins and Dolphins losses weren't real either.

ETA: Yep, 2 missed field goals in the Washington game. Not to mention that Rodgers threw an interception in the Dolphins game. That's the game-winning td right there.

Congrats on the 15-1 season

I agree. but we dont have the All Star at every position roster like you guys. and yet, you still sputter, choke, and back into the playoffs.

Who said they don't count as losses? Any sane person would just use those games as evidence they can beat anyone in the future.

Boring game last night, but I was surprised that the announcers didn't give a bit of credit to Rams #86 (Long?) making the TD saving tackle on Seattle's first big play from scrimmage last night. Long pass down the right side of the field, receiver juked the DB out of his shorts and then here comes big #86 to make the play.

James Hall. He had a really good season and one that he probably won't come close to replicating in 2011.

Packers should win this one with ease. The Eagles are wretched right now.

I would love to Seattle pull off a miracle. I'm guessing it would need to be 40 and rainy in Seattle and Brees would have to throw about 5 picks.

Everybody said we'd beat the Cardinals last year too and that didn't work out so well. I'm cautiously optimistic about our chances on Sunday but nothing more than that.

it will likely be 40, but not rainy. we've hit a dry spell, and its been fairly sunny but cool.

15-1? But Matt Flynn almost beat the Pats, a game they surely would have won with Rodgers, so that loss doesn't count either. I think you meant to say 16-0. PACKERS HAVE A CHANCE TO GO 20-0!

Don't lump all of us into that category.

I see the Packers having issues with Vick. I know he was hurting last weekend, but I bet hes good to go for this weekend. They wont be able to stop his running, the question will be if Vick will start throwing int's.

he's been resistant to that all season, but he isn't immune. the packers have traditionally had fast CB's, who could more or less keep up with the faster Eagle WR's. For that reason, it will likely be Vick's legs that win or lose this one.

The packers offense will destroy the Eagles if they dont get a pass rush.

Come on, you're better than that. If they pulled their starters, I could see that argument. But it's pretty apparent that they gave a [expletive] yesterday. It doesn't change the fact that our offense played like a big, steaming pile of doo-doo but we still won the game.

Lol it's not up to the coach whether or not the players give a [expletive]. If the coach tells you you're playing the whole game, you're playing the whole game. And that's what Lovie did. But it doesn't mean all of a sudden you care more as a player.

Not having anything to play for affects you, even if it's on a sub-conscious level. It's all about desperation.

not to mention I think Knox/Hester/Aroushamado(sp?)/Olsen proved they really didn't give a [expletive] with their crappy play. Offensive line as well.

Yeah, I knew Long didn't sound right. I don't watch the Rams much, so other than Jackson and Bradford, I'm not good with names on that team.

I dunno...I think those guys just played like crap. Knox has his share of brain dead games. Olsen too. Aromashadu only had like one chance that I saw...and not sure what Hester did wrong.

Not that he had a chance to catch it, but on that last pass, I'm pretty sure I could read his mind. And he was thinking, "man, I'm not about to extend myself so I can get drilled in a game I shouldn't even be playing in".

the entire WR corps laid an egg yesterday, as well as the o-line. the passing game was just a funk. maybe they gave a damn, but they weren't in sync, made bad decisions, and sucked. that shouldn't have happened considering their last 2 games. I just think Martz gave them a pass for the week mentally.

And I think the Bears could beat Atlanta too.

The simple fact Rashied Davis had about 6 or 7 balls thrown his way yesterday tells me that not everything was meant for a Bears win yesterday. Take a look at how many catches he had yesterday in comparison to the entire season. Then take a look at how long he's been a member of the Bears, specifically special teams. He didn't all of a sudden step up to be the Bears go to guy.

Something tells me that the Bears didn't really want to give playoff teams a lot to look at on game films, while also attempting to keep people healthy for playoffs. Knox and Hester are two of the quickest receivers in the game. That's not to discount very good defensive play by the Packers in that game. But........

The Bears heart wasn't totally in it on the last series. From the 3:00 minute mark of the 4th quarter, they ran 1 play before the 2 minute warning with 70 yards still to go.

To be honest, it looked like the Bears all took the 9 1/2 point spread with their local bookies and did everything possible to cover.

If he was really trying, he would've willed himself into being a foot taller at that moment.

It seemed to me that the Bears were under the impression that they would be out of the game at halftime. In the first half, Cutler was pissed that he had to use a TO because the play call didn't come in soon enough. In the 2nd half, on the timeout that erased the Forte first down, he didn't even react.

It just looked like the defense was fine with staying in because they were playing well. The offense wasn't and didn't want to play anymore.

Davis got a lot of looks because Bennett was out, and Davis was probably left uncovered by GB, because why wouldn't you leave Rashied Davis uncovered? If I'm GB, I'd MUCH rather have Davis with 8 catches or whatever than Knox with any catches.

Posted
Bennett was out with an ankle and Davis became the possession WR rather than just giving up. Would Bennett have played had it been a must-win? Possibly, but it wouldn't have changed the results.
