I honestly think this has as much to do with the Panthers holding the top pick as anything to do with labor issues. Nothing to base this on really, but I could see Luck wanting to be in a different situation than Carolina's.......

Why not pull an Elway or Eli and say he doesn't want to play for the Panthers then?

There was always a good chance he'd return but I'm still surprised.

He'll get drafted high even if he gets hurt a la Sam Bradford. In the end, going back to school worked out for Peyton Manning and Bradford.

Well crap. The Titans had no chance at Luck obviously, but Luck being in the draft could push every other QB down a notch if the Panthers still take a QB. If they don't, then this has no effect on the Titans.

Any chance a team tanks to get Luck next year? If he even comes out then.

Maybe I missed the boat on this but does da bum work at the same page as Kyle?

Kyle doesn't work there anymore. They forced him out once da Bum's services became available.

How is this not a bigger story? Where was the public outcry?

There was a feature on the local news about it, but tragically most of Kyle's fans get their TV on their computer, so they weren't able to respond.

I don't know about that. There were rumors he'd stay for a while - before Carolina locked up the #1 pick. He's a bright kid (and clearly he values education a bit if he's going to Stanford) a year away from graduation.

If Carolina still takes a QB they're run by GD morons

Yeah, as I was typing that it hit me they probably wouldn't take a QB now. That's why I added the last line.

I'm sure they would love to trade down now. As deep as this draft seems, it doesn't feel like there is a true #1 pick.

Teams probably won't have nearly the incentive to trade down now. The return would be much smaller.

im hearing travis lewis and ryan broyles are coming back

lewis kind of sucked this year, but it never hurts to have experienced LBs back and Broyles is our most capable receiver at catching our cheap little screen passes.
