favre throwing for 150 yards and 3 int's, but the bears loosing 10-9 would piss me off the most.

 

Oooo, that's a good one. Longwell hits a game-winner as the clock runs out.

 

No, check that. Gould misses a 26 yarder late because he slips as a result of the field.

 

And then concusses himself, but the Bears are too cheap to replace him so they have noodle legged Maynard kick for the rest of the season. Bears trail GB 17-16 with 2 seconds left as Maynard attempts a 25 yard FG to make the playoffs and it falls short and the Bears go home crying.

that's not right at all. the vikings will simply throttle us the entire game and win by 4 touchdowns and the packers will win the division.

That guy there, Brett Favre was the best football player I'd ever seen. Watching him try to limp away from Julius Peppers there, a Pro Bowler, he just put poor Brett out of his misery like a lion culling the herd. I'm telling ya, I've seen a lot of great ones play...and NO ONE could sling the ball in there like ol' #4. Jaws, this man was ruled OUT of this game. Somehow he mustered the strength and courage to come out here and put on this performance... what a sad way to end the first quarter.

You know Jon there's just a magic about Brett Favre. Monday night, outside in the cold and snow. He's getting pressure from the backside, slides in the pocket, manipulates the safety with his eyes and fire a ball that only he can throw. This is vintage Brett Favre. We'll never see another one like him.

BTW, I'm not really buying this whole "Brett Favre upgraded to questionable" thing at all. Reminds me of last week's "good thing the game got moved to Monday, it will give me 24 more hours to hopefully heal so I can play" media reports.

Either way, how does it help the Vikings to pander to Favre and let him start when there's no future as him as QB, when it helps the team more to see what they have in Webb?

 

As anti-Favre as I am I guess I can understand a QB of his magnitude on the league to be given one last chance to start a game on his terms. Why not do it the last game of the season when he would have 2 more weeks of healing on his shoulder so he can go out with his best possible performance? So he can play in front of his home fans who hated him for 16 years and now sort of like him but will slowly detest him again once the memory of his Vikings tenure is a mere footnote in his career?

The destined storybook ending means that Favre can't lose tonight. The crowd will be insane. I really think we're completely screwed.

 

It's not like that crowd is insanely in love with Favre.

Can someone expain the tiebreakers, because if Atlanta, Philly and the Bears all finish 12-4 according to this yahoo site Philly is the #1 seed and the Bears are #2 even though the Bears won the head-to-head?

I still wouldn't call it anything like storybook. It's a sub .500 team going nowhere with a hired gun QB who hasn't played well all year and is banged up.

Oh, you better believe it'd be storybook. A fan base that completely turned on a guy is now forced to root for him one last time. And if the Vikings win, almost every Packer fan will probably forgive Favre right then and there tonight.

Who freaking cares what Packers fans are thinking? It's a Vikings game in Minnesota, the storybook atmosphere just isn't there.
