I would consider that to be good for Michigan. Plus when the time bomb in Pelini's head goes off I want to see it happen on the Nebraska sideline.

I don't think Michigan had any interest in Bo Pelini.

TCU just gave Gary Patterson a new contract that runs through 2018. Michigan's options are dropping like flies today.

Bryan Harsin to Texas is official as the CO-OC with Applewhite. Apparently they really hit it off yesterday and one of the reasons he is coming on board. I am really loving this new coaching staff.

USC getting hammered, UM in coaching flux, Stanford lost its coach. MSU's coach had a heart attack and Urban Meyer had to walk away due to health problems. In 2010, ND settles all family business.

There's a report that Brent Pease, newly hired Indiana OC and former Boise State WR coach, is headed back to Boise State for their now vacant OC position.

According to Joe Schad, Michigan wants to interview Les Miles and it's expected to happen. From what I've read, Miles hasn't said anything to indicate he wouldn't consider the position.

No, no, no, no, no. Do not want. No Miles and no Hoke. Think outside the box, Brandon.

Miles reportedly told the team after the Cotton Bowl that he would not be going to Michigan.

Also, he has told LSU officials that if he interviews, he will give them a 24 hr notice and he has yet to give that.

The feeling in Baton Rouge is that Miles will not be going to Michigan.

He didn't really say that. It sounds like some players interpreted his comments that way, but the comments really only addressed what had happened up until that point. He didn't close the door on any potential future conversations with Michigan.

Here's a pretty awkward (maybe telling) interview with Miles last night:

I wouldnt mind Miles. I think he'd be able to recruit well in the traditional markets being the well known "Michigan man" he is. I know many have gripes about his coaching decisions and stuff, but I think for Michigan right now its more important to have a guy who can stabalize the program and reassert their position as an elite program in the recruiting world. If that doesn't happen, Michigan as the next ND becomes more likely.

I think most Michigan fans would take Lloyd Carr era results at this point. I know I would. Which is funny because tons of people wanted Carr gone because he wasn't getting the results they expected.

Hoke would be a nice hire for Stanford, IMO. And he'd also allow Michigan fans to not be scared out of their minds that he'd be on the verge of coaching there.
