I wonder if this was expected by many who knew him. Obviously the public didn't know he had baldder cancer until today but I wonder if it progressed significantly before he died or if he unexpectedly died due to complications.

I loved listening to every game Pat and Ron did. I will miss you on my long drives to wherever, mowing the lawn, and working outside.

 

I worked landscaping in St. Joe Michigan during my summers while I was in college and listened to every day game on GN radio. He has been a huge part of my summers snce 1990.

 

I will miss you Ron.

The news said he slipped into a coma Wednesday, so I guess it wasn't a shock to the family. But how his health was before Wednesday is unknown to us.

The really sad thing is that he did not get to see the Cubs get to a World Series..... like many others before him....and all the rest of us.

 

I'm pretty sure that 2003 took a few years off most of our lives.

 

Sigh....summer nights on a drive home with Pat and Ron.......now another memory.
