Boise belongs nowhere near the National Championship game.

 

oregon barely beat cal, which got blown out by nevada. yet this game is evidence that boise is nowhere near the best team in the country.

 

right.

 

Oregon has to play more than 3 real teams this year though.

 

that's nice.

 

boise is #2 in the sagarin predictor. they're #4 in the sagarin ratings. they won "at" virginia tech, which is running the table in the acc. they've beaten major conference teams before.

 

My issue is that Boise doesn't go through the ringer and get the [expletive] kicked out of them physically every week in conference like major conference teams though.

 

Hopefully a moot point now though.

 

yet some of you act like they should just go play in the corner. it's such a joke.

Ohhhh running the table in the ACC!

 

Va Tech does that every year. Lose their tough OOC game in the beginning, play 3 months of unwatchable football against the ACC, and go to a BCS game no one will care about.

 

Boise's schedule was pretty decent as far as their schedule usually is but it wasn't anywhere near Oregon's, despite Flames specious claims about playing bowl eligible teams.

I feel horrible for him. I'm not sure how much more you could possibly choke than that. With so much at stake...geez. I can't believe he missed 2 FGs of less than 30 yards. I don't even think Michigan's kicker would have done that and he sucks.

Actually, it's likely going to be a three-way tie. Hawaii beat Nevada, Nevada beat Boise and Boise beat Hawaii so they're all 6-1 in the WAC now. Hawaii plays New Mexico State (2-9, 1-6) tomorrow while Boise plays Utah State (4-7, 2-5) and Nevada faces Louisiana Tech (4-6, 3-3) next week.

 

Apparently the WAC has a Bowl Placement Committee which breaks ties that can't be broken with head-to-head results.
