The coaching staff is completely clueless on offense, the offensive line is terrible and the have no RB. The defense played great at Lincoln which was why the won. Will be curious to see what happens this offseason. Will Mack retire, or fire one of his closes colleagues in Greg Davis who is one of the worst OC in college football?

yeah, it meant that oregon didn't need to score again, but that missed field goal came with a ton of time left and even if you assume everything plays out exactly the same, oregon would just try a short field goal at the end to win the game. it's not like cal blew a 30 yard field goal with time expiring.

This. Not to take anything away from the Vols, but I don't know if I've ever seen a football game where one team benefited more from blind luck like they did today. That's not hyperbole either. That game was simply stunning.

Cal had the ball for all of 2:14 in the fourth quarter. The drive that ended up with a missed FG took up the first eight seconds and then they had another that lasted 2:06. That's it. Oregon held the ball for 3:21 before turning it over on downs (they ran 11 plays in that span) and then ran off the last 9:25 of the game.

I thought Tennessee clearly outplayed Ole Miss most of the game, but it was a 38-point margin because of breaks. Without the luck, I'd say a 2-3 touchdown win would have been the outcome.

 

I'll take the luck happily, though. This team needs a confidence boost and back to back blowout wins should help that immensely.
