Green Bay Packers: Ryan Williams, RB, Virginia Tech

Ryan Grant is out for the year, but wasn't that good anyway. Brandon Jackson has been far worse. Maybe James Starks is the answer, but he can't get healthy. The Packers need a running back.

Green Bay's offense would be even more explosive than it already is with Ryan Williams coming out of the backfield.

lol, this guy's a dope. Ryan Grant wasn't that good? What information does he have to base that off of? He's always been a little underappreciated, if anything. Jackson was bad his first couple of games, but he's been pretty solid as of late. Running back is somewhat of a need, but I'm not dropping a first round pick on a back.

Adrian Clayborn was considered a top-10 talent before the season, but two things have happened. First, he's struggled to get to the quarterback this year. And second, he punched a cab driver, which obviously raises character concerns.

Way to research why he punched said cab driver. There are absolutely no character concerns with this guy.

Was he out boozing with Kane?

That would have been awesome, but no. He was walking with Shonn Greene and a cabbie dropped the N-bomb.

What about Cutler?

The story was about body language that blames others. That's Philip Rivers. Jay Cutler's body language is just guy who gets bummed out after bad play. I have not gotten the impression that his body language is blaming others.

I agree with you, but I think there are plenty of people who disagree.

I think there are, and I've never understood it. Before he was on the Bears radar I liked the guy and despised the way Rivers acts on the field.

I was the same. When they had their little feud and they played each other in the last game to go to the playoffs I was all for Cutler and the Broncos.

I always hated his face though.

No doubt. He's about as clean as you can get in terms of character in the first round. He's been a coaches and teammates' favorite since day one.

He also emphatically states that Childress will be back next year.

who's even the 2nd best player on that team?

Unless he's really fallen off and I haven't noticed, Jerod Mayo.

And what Belichick's done is take a chance on young, very talented players and it's paid off. Hernandez and Tate just needed a shot and the system fits their talents well. It really has been a good job by Belichick, though they've also gotten some luck this year.

i realize i might put too much stock into them for teams/players i haven't seen a lot of, but PFF rated Mayo as the worst ILB of the past week, and has characterized him as having a very up-and-down season:

(Nov. 3) Inside Linebacker – Jerod Mayo, New England (-3.1)

He’s got huge raw tackle numbers, but he’s being totally upstaged by Brandon Spikes right now; he could probably learn a thing or two from the rookie.

(Oct. 26) Jerod Mayo has put a slow start in run defense to rest with three straight good games (+4.4 in run defense in that time frame) as he finally shows an ability and an intent to come downhill and take the game to the opposing run game. Mayo has registered 26 stops this season, one of the best numbers among LBs. Rookie Brandon Spikes brought this downhill physicality to the inside of the Patriots’ linebacker corps first, but Mayo now seems to be responding in kind.

Yeah, WTH? What a terrible take he has.

I think Mayo went down for the year midway through last season, I wonder if that's a reason for it? I haven't watched the Patriots much this season and certainly haven't been following their linebackers closely when I have, but Mayo was pretty awesome his first year and a half.

The Vikings are falling apart at the seams. I love it.

Brad Childress and Percy Harvin had to be separated at Friday's practice, getting about as close as possible to coming to blows without actually doing so.

Zygi Wilf is still considering firing Childress. I hope he doesn't, because I want to see this freak show continue.

If they lose today, Childress has to go. The Vikings have been nothing short of a complete organizational embarrassment.

If the Vikings don't make the playoffs then I don't see how they keep Childress. It's just a matter of if they will wait until the end of the season to do so. I still don't understand that extension they gave him last year.
