the big xii is rated #2 in the sagarin ratings... they don't seem that good to me but maybe it's just because they lack a really good team. kansas is the only legitimately terrible team in the conference (today's miraculous comeback aside)

I think Harbaugh is NFL bound anyway.

Yeah, I agree.

Probably. I just don't get the appeal for a guy like him who has had success in college football and can have much more, especially at a different school.

Hell if Les Miles had just 2 of the 19 clock management meltdowns he's had at LSU he would have been fired years ago.

Possibly. I would definitely take the top 7 from the Big Ten, Pac 10 and SEC over the Big 12's. After that, who really cares?

colorado is pretty terrible, too. i think they're better than us, despite the score, but they're not a good team at all.

Tyler Bray had a better first half than any QB in school history tonight, helping Tennessee destroy an awful Memphis team. Still, 2 school records (yards and TD's in a first half) is a step in the right direction.

dew, did tonight do anything to convince you that 10 wins in 2012 is certainly within reach?

In the ESPN.com Bottom 10 Pillow Fight of the Week #9 Ball State beat #1 Akron 37-30 in double overtime to keep Akron winless. Ball State is automatically kicked out of the Bottom 10 for at least one week as punishment for winning.

Two of the top three are teams IU beat. Sounds about right.

Love the stat that there were more points scored in the Michigan-Illinois game than in either of the last three basketball games between the schools.

the USC-arizona st game ended like a half hour ago and yahoo still has it as a 35-32 ASU win. nice job yahoo sports.

Perhaps they are just too busy policing the exorbitant amount of idiocy present on the Rivals network?

It's fitting that Akron is the Zips since zip is the number of wins they have.

Duke/Virginia was actually the highest scoring game of the day today, overtimes aside (since overtimes can run up the score real fast). The game ended 55-48 Duke in regulation.

Random question: for the few Iowa other Iowa fans on here, if you had the Ferentz/Stoops do-over, what's your call?

Stoops pre-success at OU isn't bringing the kind of talent to Iowa that he had/has at OU. For whatever reason, I just love Ferentz. I'd love to see what he could do with a bunch of 4/5-stars, but I like what he's got going. Then again, I've been an Iowa fan basically since birth, but they became my 2nd favorite team in the 80s. I never expect that they win a NC. I'd love for them to win the Rose Bowl pretty much every year, but I never expect them to go undefeated and I'm not crushed when they lose. So Ferentz is pretty much an ideal coach for that sort of program.

This football season has sucked, but today was pretty delicious, outside of KSU pantsing UT.

KU with the dramatic come from behind win.

Mizzou with the faceplant. I'll savor the little things while they last.

You can savor a win over us in a few weeks. We're terrible.

I'd pick Ferentz in a heartbeat. I don't think there is a coach that can take Iowa to a higher level than they are now so the best thing that Stoops could do is match Kirk's success an there's no guarantee he would have stayed as long as Kirk. I do think that Kirk gets a little old timey and conservative with is in game stuff and that probably has cost us games but it's hard to say how many games his style has won.

The Big 12 sucks this year, I said that at the beginning of the season. But they are even worse than I had originally thought.

Dude, I wouldn't overreact here. You'll likely beat us by 40-60 points, and that's not hyperbole.
