I still have my doubts about the Patriots. They do get to play Cleveland, Detroit and Buffalo (not to mention the Bears) but they play some tough teams the rest of the way and have been lucky to escape with a couple of their wins. I was not impressed with their play yesterday, at home outdoors in the late afternoon cold and wind against a Favre led Vikings team. I could see them losing to Green Bay at home, and if they lose 2 of 3 against Steelers, Colts and Jets then NY will have a good chance to win the division.

5-3 headed into a game next week with our confidence sky high while Dallas is on the complete other side of the spectrum. 6-3 at the bye sounds really sweet to me.

What happened to "this just isn't our year"?

This has certainly been one of the stranger years I can remember. I would have never thought in a million years that we'd pitch a shutout with quite a few defensive contributors on the mend. Our depth is being tested at quite a few positions on the field, and the replacements are actually looking pretty adequate.

These last two weeks have been gigantic for us.

It'll be big to get Harris and Bigby back as well.

It would, mainly for depth purposes. I think we'll see Harris at nickel but Shields has actually been very solid whenever he's been out there. I think Peprah has the other safety job locked up. He's probably been the biggest surprise of the season so far.

I guess if I could pick a silver lining out of all of the injuries, it's that we've seen just how deep the Packers are, especially on defense.

I still don't see them going deep into the playoffs with Brandon Jackson unless he lights the world on fire the rest of the way, though. The Grant loss is the biggest of all, IMO.

I can't wait til the Bears don't sign him (dumbasses)

Didn't realize he could block DTs.

Well the Bears aren't ever going to make any effort to upgrade their OL as long as Angelo is there, so might as well sign someone with a little bit of talent.

As I said last week, if you are going to go with a system that goes cheap on the offensive line, you at least need to invest in WR. A new WR is going to help more than a new OL in the very short term.

Yeah I'd have to say out of the 8 divisions, the Giants and Packers are the two division leaders I see most likely to stay there.

I'd put KC right there with those two.

The Raiders almost certainly aren't going to catch the Chiefs, even if they win the two head to head games left. Besides those two (which they'll likely lose one of), the Raiders play at Pittsburgh, vs. Miami, at San Diego, at Jacksonville, vs. Denver, vs. Indy. The lone plus is the Raiders are 2-0 in the NFC West.

San Diego is 2.5 games back and still plays at Houston and at Indianapolis and is 0-2 in the division (KC is 1-0).

KC still has five division games plus three against the NFC West so eight of their nine games are against the two worst divisions in the league.

If KC can even go 4-5 down the stretch, they'll finish 9-7. The Raiders would then have to go 5-3 just to tie while San Diego would have to go 6-2. I could see the Chargers rattling that off but if KC goes 5-4 or 6-3, San Diego would have to be nearly perfect or perfect just to tie.

I hate that there are incompetent organizations that somehow make the Bears look less incompetent.

If it makes you feel better...I am absolutely positive that the Bears could pull off something of this magnitude of incompetence.

What would be the reaction if Moss returns to New England? They get Moss back and the Vikings draft pick as well.

I wouldn't put it past Belichik.

This was his plan the whole time.

If we picked up Moss he'd definitely be the answer to a bunch of trivia questions. He'd be playing the Jets three times in one season with 3 different teams.

McNabb had a fun stat like that....played the Cowboys three straight games because of his trade.

Yeah, but there was a playoff game sprinkled in there and it spanned 2 seasons so that doesn't count.

He'd be playing the team he started the season with twice.

What a huge win for the Packers.

Agreed, that was amazing. A banged-up Packers team shut out a Super Bowl contender coming off their bye week and doing it on the road. I don't care that they only scored 9 points, that is just incredible.

Bears fans can swallow their bile now.
