[expletive] sweet! They set us up with Nebraska the last game of the year. That game is going to be so awesome. I hope they make it the Friday after Thanksgiving.

No OSU, Wisconsin or Illinois the next two years. That means 4 years without Illinois. Hopefully the Zooker finds a way to still be around in 2013.

I see 3-5, maybe 4-4 for Nebraska next year. Awesome.

Do they lose a lot? I have no idea what the makeup of their roster is. Iowa loses QB, TE, LG, WRx2, entire DL, one LB and one S. This division is up in the air next year.

Here's the schedule for 2011 and 2012

Northwestern won't face Ohio State for 4 straight seasons.

What's that bye week thingy they have on the schedules?

?

It's a bye week. They've expanded the season to the weekend after Thanksgiving so everyone has a bye.

I'm joking.

I don't know, I don't have a very high opinion of what they have.

Nevermind just looked at their schedule. They play at PSU, at Wisconsin and Ohio State at home for their 3 crossover games. Yikes.

one of the College Football Preview mags has Nebraska as the #1 defense in the country

[expletive] no Nebraska for 2 years.

Damn. I was just getting ready to post this (for Indiana, not Illinois, naturally). That's really disappointing. Not that I would expect to win such a matchup, but it would be cool to see. Pragmatically, those are two relatively manageable schedules for IU, however.

I will bet a jillion dollars they are not the #1 defense. Or in the Top 10.

And besides, they can't be better defensively than they were last year and they lost 4 games.

Is Binns going somewhere after this season? Outside of the 3 DL and possibly both S, they're not losing an overwhelming amount of talent at those other positions. And yes, I realize that's half of their defense.

You're right, don't know why I included Binns. Hunter will be a loss at WLB after being a solid 3-year starter. MLB may not be too much of a dropoff. I don't see Sash going pro after this year, especially if he doesn't get as many fortunate INT's. I would like to see if Bernstine can transition back to FS to replace Greenwood.

Still when you lose all of the skill positions on offense outside of RB and over half of your defense (including the biggest strength of this year's team) you're probably taking a step back.

Marvin Austin has been suspended indefinitely and will not play against LSU.
Officially this is unrelated to the investigation. Reportedly he has been disruptive in practice and skipping some classes.

Then the investigation may only result in 16 other suspensions. That program unraveled pretty quickly.
