Yeah, screw those FCS teams who can actually support their athletic departments when they get a payout from a BCS conference team.

not my problem

it should be against NCAA rules for FBS teams to schedule FCS teams

My genius school scheduled 2. I'd worry about only 1 of them counting towards bowl eligibility, but we actually have to win both for that to matter.

Playing Eastern/Wester/Illinois State is the only way the Illini ever get any wins so I don't mind it

Its silly for top 25 caliber teams though, they may as well be pre-season games

Because every single FBS-FCS matchup is a 70-7 blowout.

Oh wait...

yeah, those 2 or 3 FCS wins makes the 100's of blowouts not count

Michigan losing to Appalachian State will go down as one of my favorite sports games of all times

You do realize if you banned FBS-FCS games, you'd just get even more games like this

Texas Tech 55, Rice 10

Mississippi 45, Memphis 14

BYU 54, Tulane 3

LSU 42, Tulane 0

Boise St. 48, Miami (OH) 0

Kentucky 42, Miami (OH) 0

Tennessee 63, Western Kentucky 7

Alabama 53, North Texas 7

Alabama 40, FIU 14

Florida 62, FIU 3

The best FCS teams would handle the worst FBS teams and most of the games probably wouldn't be all that close.

Tennessee plays UT-Martin (FCS) and UAB (FBS) this season. I honestly don't know which team we'll blow out by more.

Either way, the Tennessee-Montana game to start next year will be tougher than either. And Montana is FCS.

They need the money just like the non top 25 teams. Many athletic departments count on that 7th home game to survive.

The Pitt/Utah game is pretty interesting to me. Pitt is quietly a team that can throw a monkey wrench into the BCS situation. They are a win at Utah, wins at home vs. Miami and WVU, and no slip-ups away from going undefeated this year. They may only be underdogs in the Utah game, and that looks like it won't be by anymore than 3-3.5 points.

It's a little sad that your favorite game is watching a team you hate lose.

I'm extremely nervous about Michigan starting with UConn. This is a make or break season for UM, and UConn is going to be a tough start.

Make or break season for Rodriguez too.

was that the same Michigan team that beat ND 38-0 and ended up pretty much manhandling Florida in a bowl game?

I am cautiously optimistic about MSU this year, I think they will be better, but the Big Ten is stacked this year

@ND not even a losable game anymore for a borderline top 15 team? My, it is a bad situation.

It's losable still, especially for a team like Pitt who don't look to have an explosive pass offense. The problem w/ Pitt is that anybody that is able to stuff the run and double up Baldwin is going to give them a tough game. They could run the table and not win a game by more than 20 points this year.

the Big East has some wicked hard non-con games this year

They do play one fewer conference game than all the other big-time schools, but it's refreshing that most of them take that extra flexibility and schedule some teams with a pulse.
