Week 1 is definitely a guaranteed loss for the Titans.

I'd feel a whole lot more comfortable about that game if you all still had JaMarcus Russell. With Campbell, that could actually be a competent to good offense.

Rope-a-dope Favre, at it again.

The man has become as much a living joke as he is a living legend.

Just stay healthy through camp. The Vikings return all 22 starters with only 5 of them on the wrong side of 30. Better depth everywhere except o-line and a potential decline at backup RB.

Just stay healthy.

You sure?

Ah we'll see. It's just really weird right now that Childress and a bunch of players are saying they've talked to him in the last 24 hours and he didn't say anything about it. Longwell is one of his best friends and he said he talked to him today and he didn't say he was retired.

I'm not sure who he sent this text to because none of the beat reporters, national guys, teammates or coaches seem to know anything about it. And if it really just said "This is it" couldn't that mean "this is the last run"?

Hopefully he just got hammered on his ranch last night and started drunk texting.

Very excited to see the defense this year. Between Dunta Robinson, Peria Jerry, and Sean Weatherspoon, the defense should be much improved. As long as Abraham can stay healthy and not decline too much, we should be out of the bottom part of the NFL in team defense.

Falcons are an interesting team. Unfortunately, I don't have very much confidence that Abraham can stay healthy and still be a worthwhile pass rusher. I think the Falcons had some areas to shore up in order to take a step in becoming an elite team. I thought they did well w/ Dunta and drafting Franks, and I love Weatherspoon to solidify the LB group. But I thought they needed help rushing the passer (26th in sacks last year) and another weapon for the #3 WR spot. Gotta really hope Anderson and/or Sidbury really step up, IMO, to be a playoff team.

By "one of his best friends," do you mean Longwell's the only guy on the team who'll talk to him?

Nah, unlike the Jets everyone loved him last year. I really don't think they care a bit if he comes back 2 weeks before the season this year.

I also find them to be interesting this year.

Who the hell retires right before the season starts? That is a slap in the face to his team and teammates. Finish the season, then retire.

Well, that's Brad Childress. He's miserable.

They're already starting to backtrack on it.

This guy is a complete joke.

I don't remember this, but Siefert has an article on espn.com where he says Favre texted the players at the start of training camp last year telling him he was done. Two weeks later he was in camp. Favre is following last year's schedule closely. He just needs to feel loved. How great would be it Childress just said "enough with Favre."

Mariucci says his ankle isn't 100% but he hasn't decided anything yet and Favre never told teammates that he was retiring.

I almost think someone is making this stuff up, wouldn't be surprised if its someone at ESPN trying to create the buzz and ratings for the next couple of weeks.

There were also the stories that came out before last season about how the other players didn't want him around.

And then once he got there and they won games everyone fell in love with him. He also didn't have the isolation he had in NY. Look at how all of his teammates are telling him they don't care how long he waits before he comes in this year. Last year Shiancoe, Allen and others were complaining about a double standard before he got there. Ray Edwards basically said "screw him, we'll go with Tarvaris." They all heard horror stories about his act in the Jets locker room and were worried.

Brad Childress looks like a pedophile.

How old was Favre's daughter when she gave birth?

Dammit, 20. Though his other daughter is just 11...

this is a pretty keen post if you catch my drift
