Anyone interested in bringing Brad Miller back?

Rumors he's going to Miami.

That's Mike Miller

Brad Miller too as part of the MLE.

I'm disappointed in you, Brad

Where did you see that?

How can they add Mike AND Brad Miller under the cap?

Well the big three all took about 2M less in their first year salary, so that covers Mike. I would think for Brad the assumption is he would sign for the minimum. Keep in mind that the minimum for a 10+ year vet isn't bad. It's a little bit less than the value of the LLE.

3 of 5 starters are Dukies? I like it. :D :D

That's only if the Deng/Iggy trade is legit and/or gets done.

Interesting development on JJ Reddick. Having him and Korver sitting at the 3 point line is going to be a breathe of fresh air for Rose.

As for Brad Miller...I'm not surprise. I wish he would come back, but I can't blame if he does go to Miami.

the nba salary "cap" is such a joke. why even have one?

agree, there are so many ways to circumvent it. best to just do it like hockey.

hockey's cap is a little weird because you can give hossa/pronger-type contracts to guys who aren't going to play the full length of their contract, and you can get out from under bad contracts (at least from a cap perspective) by dumping overpaid guys in the minors, but the cap is a hard cap and you can't exceed it. same with the nfl. what's the point of having a cap if certain teams go way over it? just call it a luxury tax or revenue sharing; this soft cap business is a joke.

Cause if there wasn't one, the Knicks would have the big 3 at $25 mil per.

The simplest way to keep big 3 from happening is to get rid of the max contract. That way, someone offers LeBron $25-30 million and can't afford the other 2. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense that Rudy Gay and Joe Johnson get essentially the same money as Kobe and LeBron. If someone wants to pay $25-30 million for 1 player, let them.

Now we have to put up with the big 3. I hope people are right that the scrubs they fill the roster with don't cut it and they don't win. Now that will really be entertaining.

Bulls making a lot of shrewd moves and really supplementing their roster. If you had told me before the off-season began that we wouldn't get one of Bosh, Wade and Lebron I'd say the offseason was doomed for failure, but they are really making good use of their cap space.

Its gonna be exciting seeing them lose in the Eastern Conference Finals.

I absolutely love what the Bulls are doing. I think they've got a team now whose skills complement each other extremely well. It should be a lot of fun to watch.

Having Korver/Redick, Gibson and James Johnson as the 6th-8th man isn't bad.

I cant complain about the Korver deal. 3 yr 15 mil is a pretty good deal compared to what others have gotten. There are rumors the Bulls trying to get Igudola from Philly also.

I've heard Deng/Gibson and a conditional 1st (I would assume Top 3 type protection) to Philly for Iggy and either Kopano or Green. I would do that trade with the re-signing Miller in mind.

Isn't Iguadola just a healthier Deng? And those other 2 are just guys. I don't really understand the point.

Is that Deng OR Gibson? If it's Deng and a 1st for Iguodala and whoever, I'd probably take it. I think Iggy is a better fit for the Bulls than Deng. It would take a lot to convince me to want to trade Gibson. If the Korver and Redick deals go thru and there is still money for Brewer....

A team of:

PG- Rose

SG- Brewer/ Redick

SF- Iguodala/ Korver

PF- Boozer/ Gibson

C- Noah

Also, Johnson, Asik, and Law for minutes here and there.

That would be a very intriguing 8-man rotation. That's a team that can get out on the break, play very strong defense inside and out, shoot the 3 in the half court, has a post presence, 2-3 guys that can create their own shot, and would probably be the best rebounding team in the league.

Apparently the Redick deal is frontloaded in order to make it difficult for the Magic to match. Redick is another great shooter that doesn't play much defense. Would be nice to get a defensive guard.

Yeah, they're really putting Thibodeaux's wizardry to the test if it's gonna be Redick/Korver and Rose as perimeter defenders.

Also, the Heat don't get an MLE until next year, so there's no way they're getting all these decent players. The only players they're getting are players that agree to play for the minimum.
