How about the 93 Bulls won the championship and the 94 Bulls didn't? Regular season doesn't really mean all that much to a veteran championship team.

I mean they already proved they could win a bunch of regular season games. You've got to throttle it back in the regular season after a 3 year stretch on top. The Lakers did the same thing with Shaq and Kobe. They ran roughshod over the league in the first year Phil was there and then basically cruised in the regular seasons after that.

Scottie was obviously possessed to step out of MJ's shadow and lead the Bulls to as good a record as possible.

What one Cav fan is thinking today:

In any case...LeBron can go [expletive] himself. I'm done sticking up for that panty-waste loser and I just pray the Cavs can get something for him that gives fans SOME kind of hope for the future.

I also hope that he gets a lot of batteries thrown at his head when he returns to Cleveland and gets knocked unconscious. Regardless, I want the guy to lose for the remainder of his career and get raked through the coals every year for it. I hope that Kobe, Wade and Durant go down as better players than he ever was because of the championships Kobe and Wade have won, and because of the championship I'm rooting for Durant to win.

I hate to say all this and I'm sure I don't mean half of it, but that's how you feel when you think a team is that close to finally redeeming your city and your superstar tanks the series like a [expletive]-baby [expletive] piece of [expletive].

That's hilarious.

If anyone thinks Kobe hasn't played like this in a series I direct you to the 2004 and 2008 NBA Finals (especially 2004). Also check out Game 7 against Phoenix in 2006 when he basically refused to the shoot the ball. Lebron was nearly this bad for an entire series against the Spurs in the Finals.

The secret Jordan stinker was against Seattle when Rodman probably should've won Finals MVP.

Hell Shawn Kemp was getting consideration for Finals MVP iirc even though the Sonics lost.

...yeah. These last 4-5 pages have been pretty annoying and useless. LeBron isn't MJ and MJ isn't LeBron. They are different players.

But, as someone already mentioned, it wasn't the fact that he missed so many shots, it was the fact that he took so few. It honestly looked like he didn't care. I saw the same thing in game two. I honestly thought he might have been hung over from the night before after getting his MVP trophy. Now, I'm completely confused.

LeBron doesn't play like this. He can't shoot, can't drive, and can't pass. It honestly looked like he was trying to do his best Mo Williams impersonation.

I still know that the Cavs are capable of winning two in a row against Boston, but it's still pretty depressing.

When he just turned and stared at him instead of watching the free throws being shot it was amazing. Was living in Frank's head.

Best part of this is this guy thinking Cleveland could have been redeemed.

No.

Without LeBron, the Cavs would be a 7th place team or so in the East. Look at what Rondo's doing to Mo Williams. Do you really think Williams would get the numbers he's been getting the past couple of seasons if LBJ wasn't on his team and if he were the primary option on a team? Of course not. Antawn Jamison has always been an empty player. Delonte West and Shaq are pretty bad players right now. I'll give you Varajao but that's not a very good team without LeBron.

Can people please just be rational about this stuff?

Name the 6 teams. Orlando, Boston, Atlanta, and? Milwaukee? Miami?

Mo Williams' only improvement in Cleveland has been in 3 point shooting, everything else is either similar or worse(especially assists with LeBron getting so many) than in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee with a healthy Bogut is better than a Cleveland team without LeBron. What Wade did with Miami was pretty remarkable in its own right. I think a Cavs team without LBJ would be right on par with what Charlotte did this year.

A lot of Cavs fans really seem like they're underselling just how valuable James is to that team. There's still not a lot to work with around him.

As ridiculous as it sounds, LeBron is partially to blame. Obviously, Shaq has been pretty bad in the playoffs and isn't even close to what he was last year. But, LeBron loves to hold the ball and do nothing with it. Even when the screen comes, he'll often take the screen, and stay outside the arc and wait for his defender to come back to him.

Obviously, coaching is also a huge problem. Mike Brown's offensive idiocy is almost completely unchallenged in NBA head coaching. He hasn't found a consistent use for Jamison, and even his coaching of Shaq has been terrible. He does the whole "give him a few early post ups in the first quarter" thing that he did with big Z a few years ago. It's nothing new.

In this particular series, the blame falls on Mike Brown, LeBron, and Mo Williams. They have all been pretty terrible. That said, it still isn't over.

I've been thinking that there's no way LeBron lets the Cavs lose this game, but I also thought there was no way the Indians could blow a 3-1 series lead with Sabathia and Carmona pitching. So when it comes to anything related to a Cleveland franchise blowing a sure thing, I'm prepared.

Save this for the next 5-7 years when Lebron signs with the Bulls. Just substitute Cavs with Bulls, Indians with Cubs, Sabathia and Carmona with Prior and Wood, and Cleveland franchise with Chicago franchise.*

As someone with no horse in the race. I am really enjoying the first half of this game so far.

Its been a good 1st half, I just wish the refs would disappear. Celts in serious foul trouble on some iffy calls

Its gone both ways IMO. LeBron picked up a cheap one and the AND1 on Ray's dunk was pretty bad
