Game threads can be a confusing experience even for those that have been around the forum for awhile. So in order to help things, I've created a partial flowchart to help in knowing what to do around here.

(I realize some of these are ironic)

jason motte just gave up a walkoff to jonny gomes. it's still fun to root against the cards, even if we blow.

Guess I'd better go follow the Yankees forever now.

I thought we decided that using green font for sarcasm was really stupid? And that was like two years ago, so any holdouts should've died by now.

I don't ordinarily use green for sarcasm, but some people's sarcasm detectors are seriously broken and need all the help they can get.

I was simply making light of the whole "post negative comment about how the cubs look this year" "WELL THAT'S IT, I'M DONE. GONNA NOT WATCH ANY MORE THIS SEASON" stupidity that has plagued this board of late. Sometimes you gotta fight fire with fire.

you mean like the posts you made after the first two innings of the first game of the season

So what's the general perception on Wells? I don't think anyone really expects him to have a season as good or better than last season. So, how far does he regress? I really like his story and hope he sticks around for a while, but a 148 ERA+ really seems unlikely again.

What, when I said the Cubs were going to lose THAT GAME, down 8-3 after 2?

I may have posted it, but I'd bet every penny I will ever make again in my life that I wasn't anywhere close to in the minority. People may not have posted it, but if you're going to tell me that I'm the only one who thought that way, you're a fool.

...comeback less then a full sentence...

This is why I don't go into game threads. Everyone is so negative. I can't tell whether the Cubs are up 10 runs or down 10 runs when I read these things.

Ballgame. I'm out.

This is why I need to stop looking forward to things. It always ends in disappointment. If I think bad things will happen, then I don't get pissed off when they do, and if they don't it's a nice surprise.

I guess you didn't say you were done, but you sounded like a really big baby.

Rain delay/rainout a possibility, but lineups up. 1-5 remain the same, but 6-7-8 is now LF Colvin, 2B Baker, C Hill.

I guess Baker and Hill can't be any worse than Fontenot and Soto.

holy crap we're off and running already, sweet.

erik, never change

It's a powder keg around here, baby. Just light one match and watch the whole thing explode. It's really kind of funny.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken here, but don't you normally explode?
