As someone who's not really an Illinois fan but roots for them because they're vaguely local, it's hard to root against SB. Their first nationally televised game with as many fans as they could stuff in, almost tied at half against a 1 seed? Good for them.

That might have been the biggest game Stony Brook has ever hosted.

 

It was probably a more hostile environment than any team in the NCAA Tournament will face.
