I just want to be on the record one more time as a whiny baby about KU's bracket. One interesting thing to note, the last three teams to beat us are all in it (Tennessee, OK State, and MSU [last year].)

karma for the 2008 team getting to play

16. portland state

8. unlv

12. villanova

10. davidson

.

 

 

And then beating two #1 seeds for the title.

 

Memphis didn't even exist that year

Louisville to the final four, Butler over Cuse in their sweet 16 game. There is literally NO ONE I like in that bracket for the final four; I'm temped to just throw Xavier in there in what I think will be a horribly busted bracket. KSU is by far the worst two seed in there

 

 

KSU has by far the EASIEST road to the Final 4 of any of the 2's. The hardest game they have would be Syracuse. I'm not guaranteeing they make it, but it is by far the easiest road of the 2's. Baylor to the final four is my "bracket buster".

I've paid so little attention to college basketball (outside of the Big 10) that my bracket is nothing but wild guesses.

 

That said, my first round upsets are:

 

UTEP over Butler

Minnesota over Xavier

Siena over Purdue

St. Mary's over Richmond

 

Then my completely random and uninformed Final Four is:

 

Kansas

Kansas St.

Kentucky

Baylor

I have the same thing in one of my brackets. It would be nice, but I don't think it happens. Kansas is the best team, as mentioned before I think KSU has the easiest path of all #2 seeds. Baylor is just a hunch as I don't think Duke is that great.

I am trying hard to convince myself to pick us over Dook. It would suck big time if we did and then lost to Baylor in the Elite 8, but I honestly think Notre Dame will knock them off in round 2.

I am trying hard to convince myself to pick us over Dook. It would suck big time if we did and then lost to Baylor in the Elite 8, but I honestly think Notre Dame will knock them off in round 2.

 

Just cut out the middleman like I did and have Louisville take Duke out. :D

My Elite Eight:

Kansas

Ohio St.

Syracuse

BYU

Wisconsin

West Virginia

Duke

Baylor

 

Final Four - Laugh if you must... (Pomeroy Rankings in parenthesis):

Ohio St. (#4)

BYU (#7)

Duke (#1)

Wisconsin (#3)

 

Duke beats Ohio St. for all the marbles.

Its a tough game, I know that, but they cannot hang with physical teams that like to rebound. They lost to UNLV twice, who we beat in vegas by 15. Not to say i'm not worried about them because they are a good team, but I just can't see us not winning the game if we hit the boards like we normally do. Also, I'm not so sure they get by Florida in the first round.
