I wouldn't mind seeing OSU win it because it would be something different. But I feel like they need to bail themselves out of trouble too often for me to think they'll be able to do it against better teams.

The lack of depth is going to catch up to them sooner rather than later.

Siena in the Sweet 16, Butler in the EE, and Notre Dame in the Final Four.

I'm strongly considering Minnesota in the Sweet 16 too. I'm not sold on Pittsburgh at all.

Me neither. I'm impressed with what they've done this year, but I don't believe they are great by any means. I will likely have the Xavier-Minnesota winner knocking them off; with that probably being Xavier.

I haven't taken a close look yet but my gut reaction was that there will be more upsets from the 11-13ish seeds this year.

And I wouldn't be worried about having a chalky final 4 too much. 10 of the last 20 Final 4 teams have been #1 seeds and only 2 I think were from outside the top 4.

Has anyone here actually seen Siena play?

A few times. I liked them better last year. I do think they were probably underseeded, but you should handle them.

They're definitely the trendy upset pick. I've been looking for matchup articles and the stuff I'm seeing says they (Siena) get into a lot of foul trouble and have trouble hitting their own free throws.

They are a bad free throw shooting team, but I think you misread(or were given bad information) on the foul trouble. They're #1 in the nation at percentage of FTA given up per FGA

In person. (Bracket Buster at Hinkle.) I wasn't terribly impressed; I think Purdue will probably win. It's not surprising Siena will be a trendy upset pick though: (1) they've played well in the tournament two straight years, and (2) Purdue looked awful in their last game and Hummel's injury changes the complexion of their team.

I see that Old Dominion doesn't shoot well from 3 - outside the top 100 in the country. That's a good sign for ND, whose biggest defensive struggles since they remade themselves have come from hot outside shooting from the opposition.

Purdue with the spread is probably easy money. Everyone remembers Siena from last year, and while they only lost 1 senior from that team, he was their best player, and that team never should've beat an 8 seed Ohio St.

Ok yeah, I did read it wrong. Thanks.

I could get to Milwaukee easily to see OSU's first round game against UC Santa Barbara.

Actually I could probably get there in time to catch the GT/OKST matchup earlier if I pushed it.

Hmmmm...

I haven't filled it out past here, but I think Wisconsin has the matchups to reach the Final Four where they would likely face Duke, who they beat earlier this year. Just saying.

Final Four: Kansas, Wisconsin, Duke, and BYU.

Surprises: Florida St. over Syracuse(and to the EE), San Diego St. over Tennessee, Utah St. to the Sweet 16, Old Dominion over ND

I just want to be on the record one more time as a whiny baby about KU's bracket. One interesting thing to note, the last three teams to beat us are all in it (Tennessee, OK State, and MSU [last year].)

karma for the 2008 team getting to play

16. portland state

8. unlv

12. villanova

10. davidson

on their way to the final four. that being said, unfortunately i may have to pick ku to win it this year (puke) and hope that my bracket fails miserably.

And then beating two #1 seeds for the title.

I edited the title so it makes more sense to keep throughout the tournament. Also, because I'm weirdly OCD.

Anyone have any shocking Sweet 16 picks they want to get down so they can look smarter later? I'm calling Montana.

Murray State and that's all unless you count double digit but BCS schools, Minnesota and Washington, as surprises.

I still think you win the title.
