Armon Bassett.

(Laugh/Cry?)

Crawford, Holloway, and Ebanks await.

Wasn't Bassett in trouble at UAB before landing at Ohio or am I thinking of somebody else? Hard to be too regretful about a guy who essentially failed/stoned his way out of IU

Yes he was dismissed from UAB for missing classes or something like that. He did write his ticket out of Bloomington but I did enjoy watching him play. He has a sweet shot. Too bad he couldn't keep his head straight. But I did root for him tonight. He is the 2nd former Hoosier to advance to the 2nd round tonight (Ben Allen is the other).

And they take me away from the last minute of Marquette/Washington to see Kansas/Lehigh in its entirety.

Ben Allen is already into the second round with St. Mary's too. Bassett initially went down to UAB, then was (kicked off/left?). This is all hazy, but I believe he was one of the guys Crean gave a chance to stay but Bassett declined. I'm not necessarily saying he should still be at IU, just that I always liked him. I have a soft spot because I covered his first ever game in high school, for Terre Haute South at White River Valley lead by A.J. Graves (technically I was covering WRV).

Pondexter's shot was awesome.

Wow I am losing a lot of first round games. The upsets I picked are the few games that the higher seeds actually won.

Oh and yeah the Big East is falling on its face.

Kansas is losing guys

Aldrich is looking ahead to the second round game where he somehow isn't the ugliest guy on the court.

Topeka, although they did cut back in for the crucial points.

Now that I'm resigned to the fact that we lost, at least Marquette had a good season. Picked to finish 12th, they ended up 5th in the East. I'll take that for now, but that still hurts. As for the rest of the tourney (now that my rooting interest is gone), bracket apocalypse. Let all hell break loose.
