This is Marquette we're talking about. They played 16 games within 5 points or something nuts like that. They couldn't stand that kind of prosperity.

 

Plus, they're in the Big East, a league whose entire mission is to annoy me today.

1) Bruce Pearl

2) The "greatest conference in America" / "lucky to still have any teams in the tournament" Big East

 

If Kansas lost, that would be swell, too.

I know, but there were clearly fouls that were missed there. Kansas will probably come out on a 15-2 run in the 2nd half and put them away. Hopefully Lehigh is summoning their inner Bucknell's in the locker room.

I'm trying to get caught up on Breaking Bad so with Marquette cruising I watched an episode and came back and they had lost. So now I'm down two Sweet Sixteen teams... Marquette and Georgetown... I guess I should be glad I didn't have either of them going to the Elite Eight.

There seems to be a lot of parody this year period. We're guaranteed at least 9 non big 6 schools in the next round and their is a good chance that their will be more than that.

the first round upsets are good TV, but they just make the paths for the 1 and 2 seeds that much easier

And the selection committee overrated the Big East I suppose, but everyone else has been saying those two seedings were nuts since about 7:05 on Sunday.

You're in luck, Smack. When I was deciding on a 13 to pick, it was down to Murray and Siena and I went with Siena - I'm positive that since Murray won, Purdue's now going to win to give me the old double-whammy of wrong upset picks.

I'd also like to use this time to toot my St. Mary's and Murray St (sweet 16) horn.

 

Georgetown put a damper on my picks for the time, but if SDSU pulls their heads out of their collective arses, then it may be a great night after all.

Purdue is just lucky that they got a #4 seed and hopefully they will play Siena close. If they ended up in an 8/9 or 7/10 game they would've been in danger of being blown out.

Syracuse did actually play a road game in non conference this year, and beat Florida.
