They just said that Enberg was retiring from Tournament games
It was announced a while back (I posted it in Baseball Discussions I believe) that Enberg is the new play-by-play TV announcer for the Padres. I don't know if that has anything to do with his retirement from the tournament.

I'm so disappointed at the golden opportunity Tennessee missed out on today. No question that Butler will be tough in the Final 4, but this Toureny set up about as perfectly as could be expected for them.

Pearl coached as well as Izzo today, no question. This game just came down to MSU doing to little things better than Tennessee did. The Spartans hit free throws and Tennessee did not. Cannot blame it on a bad call or missed call, and there really isn't another aspect of the game that appeared to lean heavily in one team's favor. Sparty hit free throws, the Vols did not.

Just a good game overall. Sad to see Prince, Chism, and Maze go out this way, but I was pleased with how Brian Williams, Melvin Goins, and Cameron Tatum all stepped up during the Tourney. Now, if only Scotty Hopson would become even a semblance of the guy Tennessee fans anticipated he would be when he signed, next year could be another very deep run.

Good game, Spartans. You deserved the win, and have an incredibly classy program.

I agree with all of this. Well said.

I think Butler in the title game has some viewing appeal. I'd be more likely to watch that than MSU vs either team.

I'm hoping Baylor and Butler because it would be something different (and I hate Duke).

There has been some horrible officiating in Duke's favor this half. Lomers' 5th foul and that last charge were just a joke.

Seconded about Baylor, I hate Duke as well, but, Baylor' far more fun to watch. They're aren't just a bunch of jump shooters like Duke, also, being quicker and athletically superior to Duke I'm trying to figure out how they've more team fouls than Duke.

If Butler and Duke play in the final then the Hoosiers references are going to be off the charts.

And 4/5 of the starting lineups would be white. Honest question here (not trying to stir up anything) but when would be the last time that happened in a chamionship basketball game (college or pros?)

Scheyer and Acy both with needless elbows. Guess which one gets the T?

(Hint: The guy that doesn't play for Duke gets the T)

So Acy gets T'd up for a minor bump but Scheyer doesn't get anything for throwing an elbow?

That makes sense.

LOL they gave Acy a T. Only Duke.

I actually don't mind Duke all things being equal, but this 2nd half was a load of crap as far as reffing was concerned.

Amazing isn't it? The slower, less athletic team manages to have the foul advantage, simply amazing.

This would actually matter if it weren't for that garbage technical.

How the hell did Duke manage so many offensive rebounds?

Going over the back and not getting called for it helps a lot.
