disastrous seasons all around for all of my teams except the bulls, who will probably blow a 3 game lead in the finals.

Yeah, because the Bears making it to the NFC championship when they weren't expected to make the playoffs was a big disappointment. The Bulls are an elite team, and the Hawks won the cup last year. Give it a rest.

But yeah, the Illini season is turning out be a real shitstorm. This season has gone the opposite of how I expected (to start out slow and gel as the year progressed). All of the strengths have turned to weaknesses, and the team looks a mess. Totally beat ourselves tonight with our comical inability to finish.

the bears season turned out to be a worst case scenario. don't get me wrong, i enjoyed it and prefer it to not making the playoffs, but if you think that it wasn't extremely painful at the end, you aren't a bears fan.

the hawks are bad, the cubs were bad and will be bad, and like i said, i'm waiting for an inevitable bulls disaster.

The end for the Bears sucked hard, but to categorize the whole season as disastrous because of it is just being a drama queen.

and THAT'S what i call home court advantage, btw. wish we had something like that.

Are you serious?

i don't understand the question.

We have one of the biggest home court advantages in the country, and have regularly benefited from it.

and if the cubs wouldn't have played in game 6 of the nlcs in 2003, i'd be a normal fan. that was like a knife in the gut, as was the nfc championship and the superbowl. like i isaid, it was an entertaining season, i enjoyed it, but it couldn't have ended any worse than it did.

i seriously wish a miracle like that would happen for one of my teams.

no, we don't. in terms of refereeing, anyways.

but the assembly hall needs to go, go far away. it's one of the worst arenas in high major college basketball.

Yeah, it could have. The Bears could have gone 0-16 and been blown out by GB both times. They could have been blown out in the Championship game, with Rogers doing his fruity title belt shtick left and right. The could have blown a big lead.

There are a myriad of ways it could have been worse.

And we get the benefit of calls at home. All B10 teams do.

I liked it better when we were winning. Poor outside shooting doomed us. The senior class has been such a disappointment.

Poor shooting all around. So many missed opportunities, mostly inside. If we shot at even a mediocre level, we win by 10. Defense was good, though.

DAMMIT Texas. Do the other Big 12 teams not want to ever win the conference?

That game isnt over. Even if they lose, they'll still win the conference. I don't see another loss for them. Maybe @ Baylor. And we still have to win @ Mizzou. As lost as we looked in the hostile environment @ KSU, it's hard to believe we'll win at Paige Arena.

I see you both at 14-2. You'll beat Mizzou, you are too athletic for that style to bother you too much.

Mizzou Arena.

No, I'm pretty sure they named the stadium after Paige Laurie, extremely wealthy Wal-Mart heiress and Mizzou graduate.

They did, but then they un-named it after her USC roommate accused Paige of paying her to write papers, etc. Her family returned the naming rights to the university and she eventually forfeited her diploma from USC. It was quite widely reported at the time (2004/2005).

The good news is next year's senior class will not be a disappointment.

Painter played all eleven scholarship players that could play today. OSU played 7. OSU had the free throw advantage 29 to 18. E'Twaun Moore for 38. Unbelievable.

I really could've done without Purdue winning. ND has to stay in front of Wisconsin in the tourney pecking order or they'll lose their Chicago slot and probably get launched far away again.

They've been blown out by three un-ranked teams in their last 10. They're 19th in the Pomeroy rankings. They shouldn't be a 2 or a 3.
