Don't really have a rooting interest in this game, but uhhhh...pretty sure that Iowa player that got shoved to the ground while attempting a tip in was fouled

That's what I thought.

Terrible end of OT play call but there is no way that was a foul. He brushed him with his hand if that.

I dont get why he didn't call a TO at the end of regulation and then again in OT.

There is also no way Leuer travelled at the end of regulation.

Cant shoot like this against OSU Saturday.

What the hell was McCaffrey doing?

Which one you talking about?

At the time I thought call a timeout at the end of regulation but we still got a good look for Cartwright. It was the same shot he hit for the winner at IU and that's really been his money shot this year. Still I can see that going both ways.

At the end of OT I don't think you call the timeout. If you do, Bo probably orders the foul with 4 or less seconds left and you're stuck hoping for a make, miss and putback. It looked like they had a play set for Gatens to run off double screen from Basabe and Cole but he went the opposite direction and we were left with a Cartwright heave.

Too bad, that would have been a big win for the program. We played their ugly game and did it pretty well, just gave up too many offensive rebounds. Carver was as good as I've heard it since '06.

Was that on Mel's attempted putback?

ND has one really tough game (@WVU) left before the final week of the season, which features home against Nova and @ UConn. After taking out Louisville in OT tonight, it's conceivable that they could be 13-3 in the Big East going into that final week. Mind-blowing to think that I was worried about being 4-5 in league play at one point during the second Marquette game.

I think you use a timeout both times. He clearly called over Cartwright during the play to tell him something at the end of regulation. You have 3 friggin timeouts and it's a tie game, what's the harm in drawing it up during a timeout?

And I have no idea why Cartwright is taking the 2 last minute shots rather than Gatens or May.

Great news

USA Today says CBS and Turner Sports, in the first year of a joint 14-year, $10.8 billion deal to broadcast the tournament, will announce Thursday that fans will get to see all games in their entirety thanks to staggered tip-off times and expanded coverage in the early rounds.

Games will be seen on CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV, allowing organizers to spread out start times in contrast to the regional coverage offered in years past. CBS executive vic e president Mike Aresco told the paper the plan is to “create nonstop basketball from noon (EST) to midnight.”

I don't have a big problem with a timeout being called either time, but Cartwright is definitely not the guy I want shooting a 3 in the closing seconds of OT. The shot at the end of regulation was a good look. Cartwright's been playing very well, Gatens's shot was off all night, and May seems to have forgotten that you can score without trying to dunk.

As an Illinois' fan, meh. Hopefully this matters.

I'm starting to come around that we're in at 9-9 with 1 win in the Big Ten tourney. Not that this is a remotely acceptable season, but the bubble is so bad this year, that we should be fine.
