Last night was inexcusable. I'm sick of this crap. What the hell is wrong with McCamey right now?

He's in his mid January slump. It happens every year. He usually comes out of it in early Feb and goes on a tear. I thought we would be good enough we could win without him. What with having more top 100 players than anyone not named Ohio St. and Michigan St. in the conference. I was wrong.

If we could build a time machine, would anyone think it possible to restart from Self's departure and have the next decade go worse? It could happen, but only if we had hired Dave Bliss.

I wasn't just in-game pissed when I said I wouldn't start a senior next game.

Vs. PSU I'd start

Paul

Richardson

Richmond

Griffey

Leonard

My hope down the stretch would be

DMac

Paul

Richmond

Davis/Cole

Leonard

But I've pretty much given up on expecting anything to wake up this senior class.

I really hope McCamey doesn't start the next game.

See, you always take it too far.

I know, but I honestly would trade the '04-05 year away to be through with this regime.

1) SSR's posts in this thread are great, and

2) Shut up, Illiniguy

Awesome response. Sorry I can't stand what has happened to Illinois basketball program under Weber. I'm done talking about it. But it's awesome for posters to tell someone to shut up. With the upcoming Cubs' season looking to be rough I would keep trying to drive away posters.

Don't look backwards. We can't control whats happened. This goes back to our athletic director being completely inept.

Aren't you the guy that celebrated the Robbie Hummel injury?

You're Indiana. It's Crean's third year. Illinois was ranked 23rd. It was a home game. WTF?

They've been grasping at straws for the past three years, and this was easily their biggest win. Illinois has passed Purdue on their hate scale, as Weber was instrumental in railroading the program a few years back. I understand their enthusiasm, we're public enemy number one in Bloomington now.

Yeah... that's just not true. Purdue will always be #1 for most, and Kentucky for the rest.

I wouldn't have rushed the court but hell, this program was (and is, quite frankly) so far down that any sign of improvement is going to elicit an overreaction for a while. Let 'em enjoy it, I guess. I'd love to say "hey, we're Indiana and we've been there before," but the truth is it's been a hell of a long time and we've still got a ways to go until we're back.

I like where we seem to be going, but one win over a struggling team on an off night is not the top of the mountain.

Of the current Indiana students, only the senior class has seen anything resembling the IU they've always heard about, and it was for one month. A month that was completely destroyed by the Sampson phone crap and ended in an ignominious first-round tourney exit, and a month that was followed by 2 black-hole seasons.

The storm-the-court police are progressively becoming the most annoying thing about following sports. IU has been in hell for nearly 3 years and they beat a ranked team. Let the kids have fun.

Did anyone complain about three students storming the court? I was just talking about Crean and thigh the lobby scene

I don't think anyone here really has, but there are some who criticized it. It just baffles me how sportswriters or thirtysomethings can forget what it was like to be in college and go to sporting events.

Historically PU will always be number one, but over the past three years the IU fanbase has been obsessed with Illinois and Weber. Right now I'd say it is the hotter of the two rivalries.

It's one month more than they deserve

Big game in Austin tonight. Mizzou can't afford to lose more ground and Texas goes to College Station on Monday. I don't want to be carrying a loss into that game.

I'd prefer the horns not come into College Station on a loss, either. I just hope Mizzou runs them ragged tonight.

Mizzou could certainly use a signature win on its resume. Right now, they have a bunch of nice wins, but no great wins. A w tonight in Austin would definitely change that.
