Musberger's good as long as he's not paired with Knight. Then it's a 2 hour knob slobbing

I kinda like them together just because you never know what crazy crap will come out. Though, that would probably be the case if you paired ANYONE with Knight.

During the KU-Baylor game Knight said:

No football team does a good job at pass defense.

The Morris twins would be guards in the NBA

Perry Jones wasn't a first rounder.

He'd take the Morris twins over Perry Jones.

Thomas Robinson is a better outside shooter than the Morris twins.

That a 3 pointer to extend the lead to 20 with about 6 minutes left in the game was the biggest shot in the 2nd half.

.

Knight suggested Illinois miss a free throw on purpose with a 3 point lead and ~2 seconds left on the clock. Twice.

Going to the ND/Cincinnati game tonight. 2nd game I've been to this year - St. John's the other. Hopefully it goes as well as that one did.

Just wanted to mention, this is the 18th anniversary of Chris Street's death. RIP Chris.

Win or lose, hope the Hawks play the way Chris would tonight.

Here's a good story about it.

The two games following that were two of the most amazing games of my lifetime. The crazy comeback at MSU when Acie had 40 shaved in the back of his head and then of course the first home game following his death, the home win over the Fab Five on Super Bowl Sunday on national tv.

The entire Michigan game is on youtube broken into 11 parts. Here's the last one that shows the end of the game, the team taking the game ball to his dad and swarming him and a piece CBS did:

I have a bad feeling that Purdue is going to overlook Penn State tonight and lose. I'm guessing they'll be too focused on MSU and College Gameday coming into town for Saturday night's game.

we used to ride to away games with acie earl's family when he was in high school. i was like 9 years old and the earls were the largest people i'd ever seen.

Was Acie's intelligence a fair representation of his family?

no, his dad is a professor and his brothers couldn't rely on being 6-11 to get them through life.

The horns are dominating right now. Thompson and Hamilton are having fantastic nights. They are controlling the boards, too. The Aggies have missed some open 3's by guys (Holmes, Walkup) that usually knock them down. We need to start strong in the 2nd half or this could get out of control quickly.

Alright, so that was ugly, but a W's a W. If ND can just sweep the home slate - they're a different team at home - and win their 3 conference road games against the league's dregs (DePaul, USF and Providence), that's 12-6 in the Big East, which would be pretty danged good. But that requires beating Marquette this Saturday when they just killed us 9 days ago.

This is the best game they have had at the FT line in probably 2 years.

How exactly, is that Purdue's basketball? Moore knocked it directly out of bounds.

There's a Bum joke in here about Purdue being a flagship Big Ten hoops program in here somewhere.

This is a straight up ass whipping.

Congrats Talor Battle, on your 1-8 career record versus Purdue. 3 for 20 from 3 point range in West Lafayette for your career.

I kinda expected that. aTm's only true road game has been at Oklahoma, which is to say they haven't played a true road game.

I wonder if Thompson will stay one more year, he has his best friend coming in next season in Myck Kobongo giving them a TJ Ford type PG. If he does Texas should be preseason top 5.

I wasn't expecting a win, but I thought we could at least keep it close.

If they keep playing like this they will be Top 5 before the end of the month.

Regardless of his stats there, that was PSU ball with 5.4 seconds left and up 1, but purdue gets the hometown call on the play 6 feet in front of the ref. It's a shame when a game like that comes down to a play that an official clearly boots. And I'm 99% positive purdue was heavy favorites in all 9 of those games, so kudos for him at least getting the 1 W...

Oh well, DeChellis shows why he is the worst coach in America by drawing up that inbounds at the end, the play I will refer to as "The McGloin".

There isn't a single team in the Big Ten that you can beat on the road without playing well. The Big Ten is that good this year.

Uhmm... Iowa? No?

Depends. Illinois and Ohio State wouldn't have won at Iowa if they hadn't shot well and played pretty well overall. If Iowa plays like they did at home against Northwestern then any of the top half teams could have won without playing well.
