Holy [expletive] Sulley. I'm drinking the kool-aid, but damn.

I likewise, but those are some major expectations. I like it.

I like how Sulley taking the field to win the NBA Finals has made him Nostradamus in his own mind. Although maybe I'm more afraid for his own safety if this is the year he STARTS being really invested in Illinois winning.

This is the most talented team we've had since the '89 bunch according to recruiting services.

I'm sure Illinois will be very good, I'm just amused by Sulley of all people calling it a stone cold lock that Illinois wins a deep Big 10 this year.

Eh shoot fot the moon, I don't think it's crazy to suggest we could win the Big Ten. Leonard, Head, and Richmond are a lot better than the guys we added last year. Purdue is going to miss Chris Kramer and Keaton Grant more than people think. OSU lost Turner and while I think Sullinger is awesome, I'm not as sold as some on his ability to be a dominant center at his size. Michigan State is the tough one, I think that depends on how long it takes Kalen Lucas to get healthy.

i'm not guessing here, i am guaranteeing an illini big ten championship.

Give me some recruiting guarantees while you're at it. I say Tommy Hamilton.

Not really a basketball post specifically but I didn't want to start a new thread for it. NC State has hired Maryland AD Debbie Yow to be its new AD. Yow is the sister of NC State's late women's basketball coach Kay Yow (OK, that's the basketball link that justifies using this thread :D ).

Illinois offered another player from Cedar Rapids in the '11 class, Josh Oglesby a 6'5 guard. Also has offers from Minnesota, Boston College, Arizona State and a lot of mid-major's. No offer from Iowa or ISU yet but those will probably be coming in July.

The other kid from CR they offered narrowed his list to Iowa, ISU, Illinois, Wisconsin, Butler and UNI. He's going to trim it to 3 shortly and most expect it to be Iowa, ISU and either Illinois/Wisconsin.

Ogelsby could be decent. KU has sniffed around him.

Jereme Richmond's stats thus far in the FIBA U-18 championships:

Granted, they've been blowing everybody out, and he's nowhere near the leading scorer, but he's looking good.

Tony Mitchell is playing on that team too. I was really excited to see he's almost averaging a double double, then I saw they won their first two games by 68 and 66 points, and were leading the last game by 37 until garbage time.

Yeah, really the thing I like the most about Richmond's stats right now are his points per weighted shot (PPWS) of 1.625, which is crazy high. Glad to see him knocking down freebies consistently also.
