I'm kind of shocked they'd even consider a TV ban. If I'm remembering correctly, Auburn in 1993 was the last time that happened.
Television bans used to be common, but I think they're unfair, not to the team that's being punished but to their opponents. Innocent teams would lose television coverage and revenue.

Here is the breakdown by class for the 2010 season, including walk ons (number of scholarship players in parentheses):

RS SR: 15 (10)

SR: 6 (4)

RS JR: 22 (8)

JR: 11 (10)

RS SO: 15 (7)

SO: 6 (6)

RS FR: 13 (10)

FR: 21 (20)

So, in order to arrive at the best case scenario, let's assume no transfers or early departures for the NFL. In 2010, USC has 75 players on scholarship (109 total).

2011- 18 scholarship seniors (33 overall), 13 scholarship juniors (21 overall), 30 scholarship sophomores (34 overall), 15 scholarship freshmen. 75 scholarship players, 103 overall (will be higher due to walkons.)

2012- 13 scholarship seniors (21 overall), 30 scholarship juniors (34 overall), 15 scholarship sophomores and 15 scholarship frosh. 73 scholarship players and 85 overall.

2013- 30 scholarship seniors (34 overall), 15 scholarship juniors, 15 scholarship sophomores, and 15 scholarship frosh. 75 scholarship players and 79 overall.

2014- 15 scholarship seniors, 15 scholarship juniors, 15 scholarship sophomores, 25 scholarship frosh for a total of 70 scholarship athletes.

EA Sports apparently put up 2010 college football uniforms (they've since taken it down). But you can check some of them out here:

Just note that some colors got messed up.

Here's Northwestern's new home uniform, which was previously leaked a few months ago but never confirmed:

A lot of things right, but I dislike having any black. However, it's about damn time we went back to Northwestern striping. And I'm glad we're finally kissing USC stripes goodbye.

Of particular note, though, is that UCLA might be switching to navy. A poster on there supposedly confirmed with an NCAA '11 producer that they're switching from light blue. I don't like that move.

Ohio State recruit Jamel Turner is in critical condition after being shot multiple times yesterday. He was with a 17 year old girl, who died from the shooting. Turner was also shot just two months ago, but those weren't serious injuries.

that kid there is a baseball player

He's also a Top Notch QB prospect.

of course he is. but he's highly likely to end up getting paid millions to play baseball and that's not easy to turn down.

Maybe he will end up playing baseball, but it's not guarantee.

Josh Turner commits to Texas today. Huge out of state commit for them.

I saw the news that Texas had landed a big recruit and hoped for Malcolm Brown. Turner is a great get (and might be a bigger need). Now let's get Brown and wrap it up.

Brown and Seferian-Jenkins, though I don't know if they have even offered him yet.

I haven't heard anything in a while but it was believed Brown would commit this summer. I'm not sure how Nebraska leaving affects Nebraska on Aaron Green either. Texas only has 4 spots left assuming no decommits.

Brown, ASJ, Vaughters and Charles Jackson, please.

If you are talking about James Vaughters (LB out of GA) he has verbally committing to Stanford, and I really doubt anybody can pul him from Stanford. He chose Stanford over OSU, and Bama. So I doubt Texas (if that is the team your rooting for) can pull Vaughters.

Looks like Jenkins was offered over Jackson based on junior day performance. ASJ is said to be attending the 1st weekend of August, hopes are he gets offered and commits that weekend.

If we get Brown and ASJ (and Gilbert stays his senior year), I'm thinking about planning a trip to New Orleans in January 2013.

edit: I just read about offering Jenkins over Jackson. I guess he must have impressed, because Jackson was the reported Turner contingency as of a few weeks ago. Whatever, I trust Akina.

Sounded like it was Muschamp who preferred Jenkins size and ability to fit into his D.

Brown and Green have narrowed down their lists and are still not ruling out the possibility of playing together. Brown considering Texas, Alabama, and Florida State, and Green down to Texas, Florida State, Nebraska, and California.

DT Quincy Russell re-commits to Texas. Texas says no take backs this time.

A little surprised to see him recommit that quick, i'm sure he knows that if he decommits again he won't have a chance to come back.

From what I understand, we only left the offer out there because he was so forthcoming after his de-commitment.

This defense is going to be stout for the next few years.
