If LeFevour impresses, then just cut Hanie and replace him with LeFevour. That wouldn't be any worse situation in case of injury than we would have had last year if Cutler went down.

If they're really worried about a Cutler injury, then that's new: they certainly didn't care much about it last year considering who they would have had to play in Jay's place.

I think they are going to get a vet too. I've heard McCown is getting strong interest from the Bears.

i'm thinking it's very intriguing to imagine him at full-back, though. a big back that could take direct snaps might be an interesting weapon.

The league is filled with former QB's playing other spots, so maybe Juice is amendable to giving FB a go if he wants a shot in the NFL.

I'm shocked and appalled how Juice Williams gets a tryout as a QB in the league. Horrible doesn't begin to describe Juice.

But at least you guys didn't spend a 2nd round selection on Brian Brohm. lol.

That's what I've heard. I read a quote from Angelo saying he's going to compete with Hanie and LeFevour.

Well, Angelo does moonlight as a certain northside manager so..........

Why? I think Afalava could become what Harris is. Cheaper and younger too.

There's nothing at all wrong with some depth at our weakest defensive position.

Chris Harris just Tweeted that he's getting traded to Chicago.

That's odd.

He had a surprisingly good rookie year with the Bears, then they trade him for what a 5th rounder, and the Bears preceed to have 3 years of glaring weakness at safety, then we trade back for him after he starts the later half of his most productive years. I thought the trade was odd to begin with.

Depends on the cost, I like having Chris Harris back. If it happens. And it sounds like either a LBer like Nick Roach and/or possibly a safety will be heading to Carolina.

NM....UMFan beat me to it.

If this does happen, I suspect this takes us out of the possible bidding for the St. Louis safety Otogwe or however you spell his name.

Wow really like the Chris Harris trade. Now sign Faneca, and this offseason will be about as big as success as could be expected without a 1st round draft pick.

The Bears now have:

Chris Harris

Kevin Payne

Al Afalava

Danieal Manning

Josh Bullocks

Craig Steltz.......at the S position all of whom have started at at least 1 of the S positions for the Bears. Then you throw in the first draft pick this year and the Bears have a lot of bodies at the S positions all of a sudden.

Biggs says it's likely that Harris will start at strong safety and Wright at free safety. So yeah...some of those guys started, but only out of necessity...I don't think many of them are actually very good at the position.

Apparently the Score is saying it's Jamar Williams.

okay, now it won't be good to have him back. jamar williams is a star waiting to happen.

LB is deep and the safeties are bad. Harris/Wright should be a huge upgrade over the MASH unit that was back there last year.

I see a lot of crappy players on your list. We are deep at LB and needed an upgrade at S.
