So it's breaking sports news that Biggs wrote an opinion article asking whether Taylor could possibly be a target? Wow.

His QB's have gotten killed when they haven't had a good o-line in front of them.

His last 3 years his QB's averaged taking 56 sacks a year. The previous two years were 43 and 50. That's not the norm. Even Cutler only took 35 last year. If their o-line isn't improved he's going to take an additional 20-25 sacks in this offense and take even more hits. That's bad news.

1. the bears are going to improve their line.

2. warner, green, bulger, kitna, and o'sullivan are all statues. i don't know enough about shaun hill to judge one way or another, though. he may be mobile.

3. don't you have another nfl team to worry about? why do you care so much about what a bunch of bear fans think or why they have hope for next season? better yet, why do you feel the need to be a troll about this all the time? just let bear fans be unreasonably hopeful, i know viking fans will be, what with all of those super bowl rings they got last year.

sooooooooo whaaaaaaat

hey, quick question. If Favre doesn't come back next year, Peterson fumbles another 10 times, the MN legislator screws Ziggy again, what do you think the over/under on their names becoming the "L.A. Cholos"?

probably better then the Vikings.

You honestly think I'm trolling in this thread? I think you should re-read my posts here. I was telling Rusch it was stupid for being worried about how much he throws. It was relevant to the Martz discussion. You're way to sensitive.

I post in Bears threads sometimes because I spend time in Chicago, read Chicago papers and hear Chicago radio. So I'm more aware of most everything going on with them than anyone besides the Vikings.

Green, Bulger, Kitna and O'Sullivan all had decent mobility at one time. Green and Bulger had injuries which hurt their mobility. Kitna always was a mobile QB. And O'Sullivan was 5th for QBs in yards per game scrambling when he started 8 games for Martz in 2008.

I don't think Martz will be able to get away with hanging his QB out to dry in Chicago like he might have been able to in his former cities.

I think we're going to see a tempered Martz approach, not the "greatest show on turf" Martz approach.

Yeah Martz's ex-teams were all dead in the water offensively. The Rams, Lions and Niners all needed severe overhauls offensively. The Bears offense isn't great, but already has a franchise QB established unlike those other teams (Warner became one under Martz). I think he would be forced to change some things if Cutler is getting knocked around like Aaron Rodgers was early last year.

kitna didn't have much mobility left with the lions but o'sullivan i may have been wrong on.

Rumor going around that Greg Olsen could be traded to New England for one of their three 2nd round picks.

Better be the first one, plus a 5th or something.

NE doesn't have a fifth, they do have a 4th and a 6th.

I was thinking the same thing. Something else needs to be thrown in besides just a straight-up Olsen for 2nd rounder trade.

Olsen for a 2nd rounder seems about right to me. I don't know why you'd have to throw in anything else.

You can get a stud with baggage (ala Moss) for a 2nd rounder. Olsen doesn't have baggage but he's never been great either.

There's no point in comparing it to Moss. You can't just go out and get a Moss for a 2nd rounder. Olsen could rock and roll on a team like New England. I think the first 2nd rounder may be enough on its own, although a swapping of other picks later on should be possible. Olsen is also very cheap and under contract for 2 seasons, while the Bears would take some of a cap hit due to the prorated signing bonus.

If he was great, then at his age he'd go for a 1st rounder.

He's not, but his physical tools are undeniable and his potential is still well intact. Asking for, say, a 2nd + a 6th is not outrageous at all.

All I'm saying is that I would be plenty happy with a 2nd rounder for Olsen. The list of players traded for a 2nd round pick or better in the NFL is smaller than you'd think and they're usually for better players or at least players at a more valuable position.

Off the top of my head the only guys who fetched better than a 2nd rounder in the last few years are Jared Allen, Jay Cutler, and Roy Williams. Allen is elite, Cutler is a potential franchise guy, and the Williams trade has been a huge bust.

Tony Gonzalez went for a 2nd rounder and while he's old, he's still way better than Olsen.
