Didn't watch the ND game, but man those highlights are brutal. Weis is a bad head coach. It's going to cost that school a truckload of money for him to NOT coach next year.

wait so northwestern could be in the outback bowl? yikes. although i think there's a pretty big drop off in the sec after florida, bama, ole miss and lsu, so assuming the capitol one and cotton bowl take ole miss and lsu, maybe northwestern would be able to not get blown out by a team like auburn.

I'm afraid an ugly 12-0 win plus PSU putting up style points on MSU makes it more likely that they jump us for a BCS bid. Too bad the offense was looking decent and we were running the ball until Robinson got hurt.

 

Even with the win today I don't think Northwestern will jump Wisconsin for the Outback, will they?

Most likely not. If the Big Ten gets 2 BCS teams and Wisconsin loses to Hawai'i, there's maybe a 33% chance of it happening. Wisconsin would be hurt by losing their last 2 and having fans already spent money on a trip to Hawai'i.

 

If the Big Ten only gets 1 BCS team, regardless of what happens with Wisconsin vs. Hawai'i, I'd be shocked if Northwestern didn't get an invite to play in the Champs Sports Bowl with Wisconsin going to San Antonio. Northwestern has only played in 1 Florida bowl (1996 season) while Wisconsin seems to live in Florida, having just played in the Champs last year.

Miles took way too long to call a timeout before a 3rd down play, they ended up at 4th and 26, miraculously converted but only had 1 second left with no timeouts and Miles made the colossally stupid move of NOT sending the FG team on for a last-second attempt.
