yeah we were probably going to get that anyway, but after losing to [expletive] bucknell there was no way around it. oh well, at least i have the option of going to the game and watching us lose by 30 since i'll be about 1/2 hour away.

A Pitt win increases the chances of two Big East teams, which threatens the likelihood of Penn State getting a BCS bid.

 

I don't see two Big East teams making it. They don't sell tickets to their own games like the others, don't travel like the others and Cincy was part of the lowest rated BCS game ever last year.

 

I don't think Pitt has any chance at an at-large. If they beat Cincy, I don't see the Bearcats jumping Iowa/PSU or even Okie State.

It may not be that likely, but if you're a Penn State fan (or of Iowa or any other bowl-bound Big Ten team), you don't want it to come down to that decision.

I've wondered if a field goal team would have had time to run nearly half the field, get on the field, set up and be ready to snap the ball all in the time it takes for the refs to re-spot the ball. I tend to doubt that they could have been ready to snap it on the "ready for play" signal.

 

That said, there should have been a play ready to run from that spot if they weren't going to try to get the field goal unit out there.
