I'd do it. I think I read the trade would make us pick up 1.5 mil in salary but I think it would make us more attractive to FAs. We might be able to do a deal later to get more money for max contract.

The problem I have is that Butler is a SF and not a SG, so who plays were would be what I be asking.

He's kinda a smaller SF right? Maybe he could switch there and still be somewhat as effective? Of course you don't trade for a borderline all star and then tell him to switch positions because of Luol Deng but still. The team just needs more talent.

If Im not mistaken, Butler has started at the 2 for Wash some this year

this team is so annoying. they always stay right in the area or the standings that doesn't help them in any way. they'll probably hover around 5-10 games under .500 all season, flirt with a playoff spot in the comical eastern conference, and all it will do is keep them from a lottery pick and save VDN's job.

these jokers can't even tank a season properly

Why the Bulls do anything but clear out for Derrick Rose late in games when they're down single digits is befuddling to me. He was schooling Charlotte tonight in the 4th. Schooling them.

Because Kirk Hinrich was wide open, and it was a point blank 15 foot shot and hes the shooting guard and....how the hell did he miss that shot? That's as close of a gimme as a jump shot can be. I'm sorry if you can't trust your starting SG to hit a 15 foot jumper uncontested and point blank in the clutch, you have big problems. That's not even getting into his wide open 3 pointer he also missed. He's horrible and getting worse every year.

Hinrich sucks at shooting the basketball and has for a while. I was more angry with Salmons missing his wide open 3 to tie. I just take for granted that Hinrich will miss these days.

So Hinrich is starter? I thought he was demoted. Or was he recently promoted?

Hinrich has been starting for a few games (4-5 if I remember correctly). I think Vinny is going with (what was) the hot lineup.

Hinrich was wide open on that play, but why in the world was Derrick inbounding the ball with 25 seconds left and down two points, especially after he has been scoring on nearly every opportunity? What coach lets his best player inbound the ball with 25 seconds left? Does Vinny know Derrick is his best player? For some reason, Vinny consistently doesn't call up plays for Derrick in the closing minutes. Vinny also failed to call a timeout with 30 seconds or so left after the Bobcats made a free throw, and the ensuing possession was sloppy.

A lot of times you let your best player inbound the ball when you have the last possesion because it's easy to get the ball back to them without having them expend energy fighting through screens.

why hinrich didn't give the ball to rose... well, he went to kansas and he's an idiot.

I find it more likely the play from Vinny wasn't designed properly. Hinrich isn't that stupid.

No, imbs right. He's an idiot that looks like a hobbit.

He was wide open. He was going to get a better look than Derrick was.

I agree with what imb said and I was expecting that to happen when I saw Rose inbound, but it's ridiculous that there weren't "don't let Kirk shoot the ball, even if it's a layup because we've seen him fail with that before" instructions to the team before they inbounded the ball. The guy is shooting 36% from the field this year. What team allows a 36% shooter to get anywhere near the ball in crunch time?
