Fine what team allows a 36% shooter with little scoring ability, no ability to slash or draw contact, and negative respect from referees, a history of failing in clutch situations, oh and white to get anywhere near the ball for your team in crunch time?

Now I'm drawing a blank.

A lot of times you let your best player inbound the ball when you have the last possesion because it's easy to get the ball back to them without having them expend energy fighting through screens.

why hinrich didn't give the ball to rose... well, he went to kansas and he's an idiot.

I find it more likely the play from Vinny wasn't designed properly. Hinrich isn't that stupid.

No, imbs right. He's an idiot that looks like a hobbit.

Apparently, Bernstein reported a rumor of Hinrich, TT, a pick, and possibly more to Toronto for Bosh as though it might have some legs. I'm getting this second hand from RealGM.

Dan Bernstein - the same fool that said we'd be getting Kobe in October of 2007.

I don't trust that moron for a second when it comes to trade rumors.

it's not like that rumor had no legs....it was widely reported and it came down to Kobe (supposedly) nixing it because of the players heading to LA

I don't understand why people get so offended and deny all credibility once a reported rumor doesn't come to fruition. Just because a trade didn't go down doesn't mean there wasn't anything to it and it doesn't mean that what was being reported wasn't ever true. It's a rumor. It's reported as such. It's not being reported as being a completed trade or a breaking story. All he said was it's being talked about. That's why it's a rumor and not a news story. Take that for what it's worth and leave it at that. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't mean it couldn't have. Same goes for the Kobe thing. Same goes for the way people respond to Bruce Levine's stuff. Sure, maybe sometimes they overstate how sure some things are, but it's the nature of what they're doing. It could have absolutely nothing to it, it could be somewhat true, or it could really have legs. Hell, any of those three could be true and it could still either happen or not happen. I'm sure rumors that have been completely made up in the past have come true and vice versa.

I heard that segment of B&B. Yes they talked about the trade, but it was made very clear that right now it's just talk. They never even suggested that it should be taken as some kind of serious thing. Just that it was heard, and it would be nice if it happened.

Umm, I'm not. The 03-04 Bulls had both Jamal Crawford and Jalen Rose shooting under 40%. I remember it way too well.

I'm sure Dan never said he was certain that the Bulls would get Kobe.

Did Dan run this newest rumor by Terry and "his guy"? Terry's guy is the one who tells us after a big story breaks that he knew it would happen all along.

This is what I dug up regarding Bernstein and Kobe. I listened to the Score all day pretty much the 2 days that story was at its peak, and while my memory is a bit hazy, I seem to remember him saying something like "Kobe to the Bulls is extremely close/Kobe just needs to approve it/Kobe will be a Bull".

Yep. I remember supposed Kobe blocking a trade that would include Luol Deng. I distinctly remember not reallyinteresting in having The Raptists on the Bulls, but I certaintly understood why the Bulls were trying to get him.

Which was all basically the case until Kobe himself nixed it because he didn't want Deng to be traded. It's not like Bernstein was propping up some flimsy rumour that didn't have anything to back up.

on the espn chicago front page, it states that wade is the bulls' #1 target. insider article, though.

That's all well and good, but it likely doesn't amount to much if he's LeBron's #1 target, too.

I really think Bosh is the Bulls' best option this offseason.

FYI, as with most insider articles I've read, it's actually taken from another writer's work, in this case McGraw from the Daily Herald, and here is the quote ESPN excerpted:

McGraw writes: "The Bulls will absolutely make a run at Bosh if he's available, offering basically anyone but Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah. Bosh would be much more effective with the Bulls if he plays next to Noah, because post defense isn't his specialty. There was a line in another story suggesting the Bulls will be devastated if they don't land Bosh next summer because he's their No. 1 target. That's not true. Dwyane Wade is their top target, unless LeBron James sends word that he's interested. Atlanta's Joe Johnson is probably candidate 1A and playing in Chicago would do wonders for his national profile. So that might be a realistic scenario."
