the NFL has pulled an early flip-flop of Sunday games, due ostensibly to the possibility of a World Series game being played in Philadelphia on November 1.

So the Giants-Eagles game slides from 4:15 p.m. ET to 1:00 p.m. ET.

In its place lands the Return of the Favre -- Vikings-Packers at Lambeau Field.

Carolina's cream-puff October continues. Bye, vs Skins, at Bucs, vs Bills is our October schedule. Need to win this week and next to keep playoff hopes alive because it's not easy after that.

No disrespect, but don't you think those opponents are looking at the Panthers as their opportunity to get well?

Probably. But the Bucs are 0-5, and the Bills just lost to a QB that went 2/17 - I think they have a lot more to deal with than we do.

Every week you look at your opponent as an opportunity. Difference is Carolina actually has talent.

Yet ANOTHER easy game for you lucky Packer fans.

Yeah for real. NFL needs to do something so that the NFC North teams play basically the same teams.

Fair point with you guys playing the Lions, but the schedule isn't exactly the same. We get Atlanta and Philly, while you get TB and Dallas. That definitely favors GB, imo. Meanwhile the Vikings get to have their last game of the year against a Giants team that will have probably locked up the division a month earlier, and Carolina. So I think they have it the best of all.

But yeah...that's just the way it goes...and I'm not worried since the Packers suck. ;)

Really? 3 of our first 4 games were against the Bears, the Bengals, and the Vikings. Yes the Rams were an easy opponent but this is our second easy game of the year in five games. 'ANOTHER' shouldn't be capitalized.

TB and Dallas should help us out in November, though. I guess that's the beauty of finishing 6-10.

These next few weeks are the time for us to make ground because Minnesota faces Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and then they face us. We play Detroit and Cleveland before that rematch and then we have the Bucs and Cowboys after that. We absolutely have to take advantage of this slate because our schedule gets progressively tougher in December.

Bengals center John (?) St. Louis was cut. He was pulling a Chuck Knoblauch this year on long snaps

Olin Kreutz has been doing that for a few years on short snaps.

The Vikings will also play the Steelers with Polamalu and unless something else happens, the Seahawks with Hasselbeck.

Every team gets some breaks and for the most part divisional schedules are as equal as they can be.

Not to mention the Bears lucked out against Pittsburgh without Polamalu and the Seahawks without Hasselbeck and Lofa.

Junior Seau unretired (again) and signed with the Patriots (again). Vinny Testaverde would be proud.

Random fact to show how old he is: Seau was in the NES version of Tecmo Super Bowl, which came out in 1991. Bonus points if you know the other two active players from that game.

Raider home games are the best because there's a good chance they'll be blacked out. Instead of getting stuck with a Philly blowout, I'm fortunate enough to get Giants-Saints. Edited by soccer10k

Umm, I think thats exactly what he did mention......

He didn't explicitly say that, but that's probably true.

Regardless, his point is correct. Our schedules are all basically the same and we get 'rewarded' due to our miserable last year by getting to face TB and Dallas.
