I think you're right. Auburn will probably stack the box early and see what Crompton can do. If he completes enough passes early, Auburn will be forced to loosen their D, and you'll then be able to run the ball for 5+ yards on a consistent basis.

I'm interested in seeing how Auburn's O fares against a decent defense...I think the Vols are probably going to win this game.

For what it's worth, Kiffin opened up the Tennessee offense in the first half against Ohio (28 passes in the half) and Crompton had some early success but then began to struggle more consistently after a decent first quarter. I'd think Auburn has a better defense than Ohio, though, so I don't know if that early success will be there for the passing game.

Looks like Johnson will be out for the rest of the year. Sounds like a pretty awful ordeal.

It'll be on McKnight and Allen Bradford from here on out.

That's terrible. Is Johnson a senior or junior?

It's too bad USC only has 4 or 5 other 5-star RBs on which to rely...

That's really been overblown, I think. Moody transferred, McKnight's been a disappointment, Gable can't see the field, Tyler is an uknown, and Bradford is a converted linebacker. The full back, Stanley Havili, gets a lot of touches.

Out of all the heralded running backs no one has really established themselves. McKnight's come the closest but he's injury and fumble prone. I'd trade most of these guys for one Lendale White or Reggie Bush.

Stafon Johnson was probably the best all around RB of the rotation between McKnight, Bradford and Johnson (guess you could count Gable in there). I think he's the best pro prospect of the bunch too.

Speaking of Moody, is he gonna break out now that Florida doesn't have a running QB.

Is Timmy boy supposed to be out for awhile?

Everything I've heard is that he should be ready for the LSU game in two weeks (they're off Saturday).

But even if he's out, I've heard Brantley is fairly mobile as well.

I really hope IU can keep it together mentally coming off a real tough loss in Ann Arbor and at least show up for the Ohio State game. It would have been so awesome to head into that game at 4-0 with a historic road win in the bank. ](*,)

Looks like Bradford is not going to start vs Miami. It's a combination or "Mustache" Jones acting like he's a heisman canadate throwing six touchdowns in a game and not wanting to rush Bradford back. Bradford will probably be on the bench just in case. It won't matter though, our defense will have their third straight shutout anyway.

We're going to be loaded at quarterback for a long time. Jones is only a freshman and Blake Bell (scout.com five star, #1 pro style recruit qb) coming in next year. Bradford might even stay another year (he's really wanted to get his degree) but i doubt that.

Hell, we have the number one recruiting class so far for 2010 according to rivals. We're just going to be loaded everywhere

He's a four star with ESPN and Rivals and they both have OU ranked further down overall #3 and #8 ;-).

I think Oklahoma wins the game but there's no chance they shut out Miami.

Not on topic with this week but tomorrow 4-star QB A.J. Derby is holding a press conference to commit to Iowa.

Doesn't hurt that he's from Iowa City, his dad played for Iowa and his brother is a walk on at Iowa. But he had offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Illinois, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Wisconsin and a bunch of others.
