Fox News was on the TV down in the cafeteria at lunch, and they were running a story about people being upset at fans for cheering during the national anthem. Has anyone seen anything about this?

I believe it was a detroit based blogger doing what all columnists have done, say something stupid to get attention.

I saw a story about that on Yahoo sports. The Yahoo guy couldn't understandwhy anyone would get offended by what happens at Blackhawk's games. It must be really amazing in person.

Somewhat hypocritically, I don't have a problem with what we do. It's something any Hawks fan should experience at least once. But I do find that yelling out of "STARS!" or whatever else people might do, like the home of the "CHIEFS!" thing to be disrespectful.

Another two goal lead to piss away

Never been more upset about a 2 goal lead.

It appears the Hawks are out playing them having outshot them 28-19, we'll see.

I think the Hawks were easily the better team tonight.

2-0 final think you're correct of course, we'll have to get the Kyle seal of approval before it can finalized.

Big win. Hawks have 2 games in hand over Phoenix who is 2 points behind, an 1 game in hand over SJ who is 1 point behind. And all the bickering about blowing Saturday's game aside we did take 3 points in 2 games against a red hot Phoenix team.

I'm sorry that I offended you by doubting your amazing psychic powers.

You should be, just kidding. What do you think of the goalies and defense going into the playoffs? They've been average to bad for a month+, think they'll get back to their earlier good play? If I remember correctly, while seemingly, everyone else was going nuts about the Hawks trading for a goalie you've been saying it'll be alright with Huet/Niemi.

Niemi stood on his head last night, plain and simple. I don't know why it seems like he can only focus and play really well in the big games. Though I guess that bodes well for the playoffs.

Just need to convince him that every game is life or death. Then we're good :)

Yes he did. Sight for sore eyes (meaning Blackhawks fans). I can only hope he's getting the confidence of being the starting goalie and he can get back on track and play well like he's been doing this year.

With last night's action, the Hawks clinched a better record then Minnesota, Anaheim, St. Louis and Dallas. "Magic number" for a playoff spot is 3 points (either Hawks get 3 points or Calgary wastes 3 points).

I don't know. They might play like crap, they might get on a hot streak again. Nothing to do but hope for the best. Sports are fickle like that.

I definitely *wanted* a better goalie. I just don't think the season's over because we didn't get one. As we showed last night, we are perfectly capable of beating the best in the Western Conference with what we have now.

I still don't really think the Coyotes are a legitimate force in the conference.

Who is? We own Vancouver most nights, San Jose is reeling as hard as we have been if not harder. Would you call Nashville or LA as legitimate force?

Detroit of course scares the crud out of me.

Yeah, but I view teams like Vancouver and San Jose as having good talent on their roster. Better than the Coyotes.

Let's see how Phoenix does with that lineup when they have to face a quality roster for 7 games.

I would prefer not to have to face Vancouver again. Right now I think they are the biggest obstacle.

I agree there's nothing to do but hope for the best.

For the cost I don't know if there was a significant goalie upgrade available before the deadline. I had read about and mentioned Marty Turco but, at the cost of good young player or prospect, would he have been much better than Huet or Niemi? Probably not.

Detroit, San Jose, and Vancouver (in that order) are the teams that I'm most concerned about.
