I think it's pretty obvious Sori thought there were two outs. When he goes back to first base holding up one finger and asking the first base coach something.

Fox Bomb!

Yeah but he's bad in the field. So he can't play over Blanco and Miles in NL parks.

I seriously think that Fox is going to force Lous hand, and Fontenot is going to help the cause.

I've yet to see anything terrible out of Fox defensively. He definitely won't win any gold gloves, but the way everyone talks about him I expected routine ground balls to be consistently rolling through his legs. Len was critical of him yesterday for not making the diving play, and most good 3rd basemen would have made that play, but by no means was it routine either. Everything I've seen tells me that his bat is enough of an upgrade over Fontenot/Miles/Blanco to make up for any defensive concerns.

You would think that major league baseball players would be capable of counting to 3, and our outfielders continue to have difficulty.

That ish is unforgivable.

how did soriano's legs go from being able to steal 40 bases the year before we got him to old crippled man legs in an offseason.

Because we're the Cubs.

The legs are the first thing to go.

I thought the mind was the first to go? And that'd be a good argument, did his legs or mind crap out first.

W much you wanna bet we lost this like 5-3?

This team looks like a bunch of idiots out there between Soriano not knowing how many outs to Fontenot stealing Theriots grounder.

What'd Font do?

Ran over Theriot trying to make a wide ranging play rather than letting Theriot make the easy play on a ball hit right to him.

The Cajun Connection!

Why'd Kasper give Fox such a hard time on that ball yesterday, but kind of glossed over that Fontenot gaffe?

edit - Newsflash, apparently Fox can also hit the baseball well.
