Looks like we found our third baseman.

Good thing it took 6 weeks...

And where does Fox go when Aramis comes back?

2B, why the hell not? He can't field, but who cares. We've tried the good fielders no hit thing. It's failed.

Jake Fox needs to play everyday.

If he can play 3rd, why not 2nd? Slide him over there when Ramirez gets back...how much harm could it do?

Back up 1st, 3rd, LF. I'd rather have Fox around than Hoff if we can only pick one.

What a crappy choice though. Both those guys have really been a couple of the only guys swinging the bat...

And the whole point is to get him in the lineup....backup doesn't do that.

Yup, same here.

What I love is if this sale ever gets done, you know he'll play the whole finally I won't be handcuffed by not having an owner card. He won't come out and say how he wrecked a 97 win team over 3 games.

I haven't decided yet if getting swept out of the first round for the third year in a row would be worse than not making the playoffs at all. I think it would be.

He can PH everyday and start occasionally.

It wouldn't be worse. This whole "we're going to be 0-5 games back for 6 months" scenario is pretty brutal. See 2004.

we have 1 inning to make something happen before Zumaya and Rodney blow these hapless losers away. Unfortunately, Fukudome, Hill, and Blanco are due up, so were doomed.

Fernando Rodney isn't that good.

Getting swept in the first round at least means you get to enjoy clinching the division. And since this isn't Atlanta we'd still enjoy seeing them win the division.

Neither is Zumaya

Does it matter?

I know it's cliche and generalization, but Detroit's just a better team than us. I don't know how much discussion there is even to be had about this series. They've kicked our ass so far.

Lol. Considering all the no-names that own the Cubs I think I'd prefer to face someone I've heard of.

Meanwhile we have to start a Fontenot or a Blanco every day. I'm just lamenting that we can't get that bat in there more often long term. He screams trade bait to me.

We are dead last in baseball in OPS. It doesn't take much to be better than us right now.

Really? We were a Gregg meatball short of winning that game yesterday.

Edit: Er.....Tuesday.
