Everything about last except the playoffs was friggin awesome

Z's no-hitter.

I was seriously debating going the next night for Lilly's start. When he had a no-hitter through 6 I was seriously starting to regret it. Part of me was a little relieved he gave up a hit so I wouldn't be kicking myself for the rest of my life.

This is one of my five favorite regular season games from the past 10 years.

I think last year had a bunch of people's top five ever. This one and the Rockies game were epic.

That can be said about alot of the games last year honestly.

It will never get old watching the ball go through that douchebag Brauns legs lol.

This game was during that stretch where I actually managed to get over my hatred for Jim Edmonds. I never thought he would do it, but he did it.

Geo was fat then, too.

GO!!!

Yup this is where most Cubs fans accepted Edmonds.

Also, I just said the same thing about Soto, hes not bigger this year by much if at all.

If you'd have told me I'd have cheered for Jim Edmonds at any point in my life, I'd have called you nuts.

I don't think any game will ever top the Mongo Game in the past 10 years, though. That was probably the craziest game I've ever seen.

I'd also throw the 2004 11-10 victory over the Reds in 2004 that ended with Sosa and Alou going back to back into the pile.

What is it with us and games against the Rockies?

Were those homers both on the first pitch of the AB? I always thought that was against St. Louis.

Yeah, the Mongo game was my favorite Cubs game memory I think. There were a few games in against the Brewers in 98 that I remember. That 2004 Reds game I went to sleep because the Cubs were down by 5 and I thought they were going to lose.

Good lord, I like watching 2008 games, but it always just reminds me that last year was as close to The Year as we're ever gonna get until the actual Year. It was the same when my iPod shuffled up the BCVM highlight mix from last year.

It seems like just about every Cubs-Brewers game in 1998 was a 14-12 slugfest.

I have tickets for Sunday and would love to see Lilly or Harden pitch (and the two-for-one would be awesome) so....let it rain, let it rain, let it rain. :clapping:

If we're going back to 1998, my all-time favorite game is the 20 K game, no questions asked.

Let's see what else was there...the Michael Barrett double against the Athletics in 2004, Z's no-no last year, Ryan O'Malley's 8 inning miracle against the Astros in 2006...

By "the crazy two out comeback", is it the Rich Hill 5-run first inning that ended with the ARam 3-run walkoff?

For one perfect moment, all was right with the world.

I guarantee you there won't be any 2 for 1 double headers. They're just not going to lose a gate. If they have a double header, it will be a day/nighter with 2 separate admissions.

They should've shown the comeback against the Rockies. Sickest game of the year.

Yeah, I was dragged to Babies R Us when my wife noticed that the Cubs were being destroyed, so I never saw the last 60% of that game.

No, it was Soto 2008.

I don't even remember how this game ended. I just remember Geo's blast.

Derrek Lee walk-off single in the 12th. I got home from work, which was a day job at the time, thrilled that the game was still going. I saw I think only the top and bottom of the 12th.

Why hasn't the game started, anyway? There hasn't been any rain as far south as Wrigley in half an hour, and there isn't any more on the radar

wish I could watch with you guys, but living in Ohio means I get the Indians rain delay coverage instead

So their rain delay programming would be the game where Willie Mays Hayes scored from 2nd on a bunt?
