How about we don't get on the guy who doubled in 2 out of our 3 runs?

Come on. Did you see what he did?

I did, but no harm no foul. All it did was advance a dude from 1st to 2nd with a power hitter up to bat.

That does not make it okay.

Its the point being his head is up his ass plain and simple. Baserunning, fielding, everything today.

Im sorry but Lou should have pulled Milton from the damn game right there. Thats inexcusable plain and simple. His ass should have been yanked off the field, and benched tomorrow. Thats ridiculous

Yanking him off the field wouldn't have helped the situation. Giving him a day off tomorrow might not be a bad idea, but I don't see how pulling him from the field in the middle of the inning would have been a good idea.

In the end, his bone-headed mistake didn't cost the Cubs a run.

That's not the point. It's a symptom of the disease lately.

He doubled in 2 runs. He made a terrible baserunning mistake, misplayed a ball into a run, and wasnt paying attention at how many outs there was, and threw the ball into the stands. Im sorry but his head isnt in the game plain and simple, and deserves getting on.

2 out of the 3 didn't hurt them at all. THe baserunning mistake would have led to Lee grounding out.. Bradley would have been stuck on 2nd after Soto popped out. Throwing the ball in the stands didn't hurt them either.

Maybe itd help the situation of him keeping his head in the game at all times. Hes made 2 damn mental mistakes today, and doesnt have the benefit of being a great producer so far this year to help him at all.

That's really not the point though.

And now the fans are going to be stupid and boo Milton Bradley when he's the tying run at the plate. He deserves it, but this is not the time, not when he can tie it.

Bradley deserves a shower of boos right now. With his temperament, this could be an ugly signing in more ways than one.

So they should wait until after the DP?

Its not the point that it didnt hurt them. Its the point behind it that his head is up his ass and hes not thinking. If you arent producing at the plate like you should, at least do the little things that can help your team win.

I understand that. But to think it's a good idea to pull arguably the most volatile player in the majors in the middle of the inning when he knows he just embarrassed the crap out of himself in front of over 40,000 people...well, I just don't think it's a smart move to make.

Booing Bradley is not idiotic at this point.

i have to agree, he's played well below expectations, he gets hurt every other game and he has played with his head up his ass most of the season. he's richly earned the boos he's getting.

I'm with you. I'm not all for booing players for poor performance. But poor effort and not even paying attention absolutely deserves it.

Exactly I understand slumps and such, but for the love of God, at least keep your head in the damn game and know the situation while on the bases. These are little league mistakes hes making

You guys think Milton will support Hendry when he gets fired after the season? I mean, he's going to be a major reason in Jim getting fired.
