Welcome to the club Mul, 3 more to catch up. Rotator cuff has a longer healing time though. The best news is it is non-throwing shoulder.

No it's not. That's the front shoulder at the plate. The throwing is a controlled motion you can work with a little bit less ability on. The front shoulder at the plate is something you just have to let rip, especially the way he swings. That's what killed Rolen. I'm reeeeeaaaaal worried at this point.

Do you remember how long Rolen was out?

And yeah the Scales slide was all kinds of awesome.

Rolen was only out like 6 weeks originally, but he had to miss several more periods of time becuase of the same shoulder.

You guys have made me feel better knowing that there are quite a few targets out there who can try to replace Aram. Assuming Bradley picks it up, we'd still have a fair shot at winning the division if we could get a 3B who gives us average D and a .800 OPS.

Not to scare you again, but I wonder how much teams will demand from us. It'll be obvious we're desperate and I'd hate to see someone like Vitters, Colvin, etc. traded for a stopgap if ARam is out for a while.

Hendry can't do much, but he can do trades. He's not going to get fleeced for a stopgap.

Good point.

And a little late, but that's awesome for Scales!

Which time? This typically isn't something you fix once and it's done, especially considering the occupation. I don't think Rolen's been right since until maybe finally now.

It wouldn't surprise me if he's done for the year. Even if he's not, don't expect 25-30 HR .300 avg Ramirez the rest of the year. He won't be able to get really cranked up on the inside FB.

I don't think we can do this without ARam. I'm contemplating a week long drunken stupor, maybe kill a random dog or something

It can be done, it will just be a lot tougher.

Agreed. They are a good enough team to overcome this, but it doesn't leave a lot of margin for error.
