Any other 3B targets anyone can think of?

Aubrey Huff or Ty Wiggington? I know the O's just sent us a third baseman, but I figure they should be mathamatically eliminated by late next week, so maybe we have some of McPhails old guys that weve forgotten about that hed like back.

I like those options, and we seem to make every other trade with Baltimore. I would say the odds we target one of those guys are decent.

Any chance Hoffpauir can learn 3B?

In theory, Soriano could play it pretty well, but we'll won't even move him to RF ](*,)

Having had 5 shoulder surgeries I'm going to say he has a torn labrum. Pray his rotator cuff didn't tear. My last dislocation I tore rotator cuff off bone and in half, tore labrum off bone and partially tore biceps tendon. Can't swing for 6 months. Throwing is 10 months to a year out.

Yeesh. Rolen had a torn labrum and it completely changed his career. I think Hafner had a torn labrum too and he hasn't been at all the same since. The shoulder was probably the worst place he could have gotten hurt when it comes to damaging injuries.

Id even take Melvin Mora if they perfered. Mora, Wiggington, and Huff are 3 guys who have no business on the same team. Also, Jorge Cantu can play 3rd base too. Hes arb eligible next year, and we know how much the Marlins hate having to actually pay guys.

I blame myself for looking at Aramis's career stat line on WGN, seeing 253 in the HR column and saying to myself "he'll hit #300 next year".

I'd like Cantu. He'll likely be pretty pricey, though.

WGN Radio: Aramis has a dislocated left shoulder

That's 6 weeks minimum. But they can't know if there are any tears until they do an MRI.

WGN Radio: Aramis has a dislocated left shoulder

What does that mean in terms of time missed and long-term implications?

You guys have made me feel better knowing that there are quite a few targets out there who can try to replace Aram. Assuming Bradley picks it up, we'd still have a fair shot at winning the division if we could get a 3B who gives us average D and a .800 OPS.

Not to scare you again, but I wonder how much teams will demand from us. It'll be obvious we're desperate and I'd hate to see someone like Vitters, Colvin, etc. traded for a stopgap if ARam is out for a while.

Hendry can't do much, but he can do trades. He's not going to get fleeced for a stopgap.
