Dejuan Blair is shorter than me.

I don't care if he's shorter than Kiefer Sutherland, he was the best rebounder in the history of college basketball.

Paul Millsap? I assume you must mean him since he never had a year as bad as Blair's best in rebounding.

Hell Blair's not even the best rebounder in this class. That would be Griffin.

Blair had a much better rebounding percentage than Griffin. Blair had the highest offensive rebounding % in the history of college basketball.

EDIT: Offensive rebounding percentage, not defensive. He was slightly below Griffin defensively.

Weren't those just #s going back to 2005? I keep seeing this repeated about Blair and the only source I can find is the Gassway article. (The same article that listed Sean May as 5th. Yeah, Sean May)

Yeah, I thought Pomeroy mentioned historically as well. Gasaway just took a quick glimpse at the data Pomeroy had readily available.

The Sean May thing is what makes me kinda toss that stat out the window.

That doesn't mean squat in the NBA.

Actually, it does mean something. Rebounding is the skill that best translates from college ball to pro ball.

Well he better be exceptional then, cause I don't see anything about Blair for which he has had this hype thrust upon him. I see a serviceable back PF in Blair, not some great rebounder.

Over what timeframe did the study take place that came to this conclusion? Being a great rebounder against today's competition is a lot different than being a great rebounder in the NCAA 20 years ago.

Good thing the Bulls didn't try to land Marbury. What a tool.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4569078

Marbury, who played part of last season with the Boston Celtics after his messy divorce from the New York Knicks ended with a buyout, went unsigned as a free agent this offseason after turning down Boston's $1.3 million veteran minimum offer.

"I'm resting, doing what Michael Jordan did, enjoy life, do things I haven't done in 16 years, keep building my empire," Marbury said, according to the Post. "I wasn't going to Boston for that money. It was a prudent business decision to take off this year."

So TT had a ridiculous beast of a game last night....

22 pts, 13 rebounds, 7/9 from the field, 2 blocks and 1 TO in like 25 min

He also went 8/13 from the line, which is pretty crappy for him.

Watching the Bulls/Magic preseason game that just started on NBATV. Noah has definitely bulked up in the upper body. Hopefully he turns into a defensive anchor down there.
