I hope LeFevour's a good blocker.

If he develops nicely, I could see the Bears trading him for draft picks in a couple of years.

I love grabbing Bruce Campbell in the fourth round.

I'll also take giving up a fourth round pick for Jason Campbell.

Also, from the ESPN story about the Campbell trade: "Oakland selected one of the draft's fastest players, wideout Jacoby Ford of Clemson, with the pick acquired from the Jaguars."

Al just can't resist.

Michigan's Donovan Warren decided to leave after his junior year and is now in danger of going undrafted. Not the smartest decision.

The Panthers drafted Tony Pike earlier. We've picked 2 QBs and 3 WRs in this draft, which couldn't be more out of character. Greg Hardy was a good pick in round 4 though.

Looking at the list of drafted WR and knowing Danario Alexander probably isn't getting picked makes my head hurt.

and for OldMissCub or any SEC/Ole Miss fans,

Dexter McCluster.

OMC has seen him more, but McCluster is extremely agile and quick and appears to be a good receiver out of the backfield. Due to his size, I don't see him as a feature back but he can be a playmaker out of the backfield and split wide at WR. He doesn't have a ton of straight line speed, but once he gets the ball he's really hard to bring down.

Tennessee had a very good defense last year and McCluster sliced us up for 324 total yards. He can be very similar, I think, to Reggie Bush.

Supposedly they have said he is a WR. I would like to say they would get creative and use all kinds of motion bringing him into the backfield sometimes and keeping him split out wide but I believe Charlie is his OC I don't see him getting creative.

Heh? Charlie Weis is absolutely nothing as an offensive coordinator if not creative.

He runs a pretty standard pro style offense. He doesn't use gimmicks are stray from the normal stuff. He's creative in the sense that he will switch up from running a ton to passing a ton at any time. I, however, didn't see much in the way of being revolutionary and getting extremely creative to get one specific player the ball. I'm not sure he will change his ways to get a unique player like McCluster the ball in a variety of ways. He'll probably run some reverses but that is about it and that is a pretty typical way to get a WR like McCluster the ball.

I don't see him having McCluster constantly in motion causing confusion for the defense and creating a lot of ways to get him the ball. If I was an OC I would love to use McCluster in motion a lot. Sometimes he starts split out and then moves to the backfield with the option of it still be a pass where he runs a route out of the backfield or a run with him getting the ball. Put him in motion split out and sometimes hike the ball early in a reverse sometimes have him settle in the backfield like I mentioned before. Sometimes have him start in the backfield and motion out wide and sometimes don't.

The options are nearly limitless with a guy like McCluster but I just don't see Weis getting that creative. He may use him some as a RB but he will always start in the backfield. If he is only used as a WR then he will be just like any WR instead of the unique player that he is.

I know it's not likely, but I'm hoping the Bears quickly snatches him up if he goes undrafted.

This is really weird of you to say considering the ND/Purdue game last year was probably the biggest example of how creative he can be. With Floyd out and Clausen not playing he went Wildcat-crazy and moved Golden Tate everywhere on the field to make sure Purdue couldn't stop him, the only playmaker we had on the field, from getting the football. If McCluster proves to be as good a weapon in the pros as he was at Ole Miss, he will get the ball in any number of ways.

dew, help a divisional rival fan out: Jacques McClendon?

He's a big, strong offensive lineman. Underperformed a bit at Tennessee, but people were swooning over his physical strength when he came to Tennessee. He reportedly maxed 400 pounds on the bench entering UT.

I like him a lot. Real good person from what I can tell and quite a bit of potential. I think Howard Mudd can develop him well as an interior lineman.

Nice to see Alteraun Verner go to Tennessee.

I like that pick. Charles Davis on the NFL Network compared him to Nick Harper. I like that comparison a lot.

I know he was really good at UCLA, but how do you think he'll translate to the NFL?

Agreed. I'm so happy with this draft. And now I'm happy we took a corner. With the Lenwhale trade, think we're targeting a RB with the next pick?

I'm a little bit surprised we didn't go running back at all in the draft. I was hoping we'd look at Lamarcus Coker, but he's still available as an UDFA. LeGarrette Blount is also still sitting around at the moment and he'd be an interesting pickup. I believe right now our only RBs are CJ and Ringer so we'll need to go after one at some point, I'd think.

I like our third day of the draft. Myron Rolle and Alterraun Verner are probably the most exciting players from my perspective, but I like the pick of Rusty Smith as well. When I've watched Smith at FAU I've really liked what I've seen. Backup upside probably, but he could be a cheap, solid backup for a few years. Rolle is a really nice pick. A lot of upside, very smart player and might have the ability to start at safety at some point. Getting a guy with the upside of a starting safety in the sixth round is fantastic value.

And he goes undrafted. Dumbass.
