Epic Fail, Jevan

Do you have some external hard drive where you keep EVERY gif ever made? It's seriously an impressive collection you have.

Looking at the list of drafted WR and knowing Danario Alexander probably isn't getting picked makes my head hurt.

did he not get drafted? what was the knock on him?

I don't know who told Jevan to leave Ole Miss after his junior year, but that person should be instantly fired from his circle.

He runs a pretty standard pro style offense. He doesn't use gimmicks are stray from the normal stuff. He's creative in the sense that he will switch up from running a ton to passing a ton at any time. I, however, didn't see much in the way of being revolutionary and getting extremely creative to get one specific player the ball. I'm not sure he will change his ways to get a unique player like McCluster the ball in a variety of ways. He'll probably run some reverses but that is about it and that is a pretty typical way to get a WR like McCluster the ball.

This is really weird of you to say considering the ND/Purdue game last year was probably the biggest example of how creative he can be. With Floyd out and Clausen not playing he went Wildcat-crazy and moved Golden Tate everywhere on the field to make sure Purdue couldn't stop him, the only playmaker we had on the field, from getting the football. If McCluster proves to be as good a weapon in the pros as he was at Ole Miss, he will get the ball in any number of ways.

you may already know this, but Bum doesn't always know what he's talking about.

Several knee surgeries is the big thing, and I've heard a couple reports about his game translating. Some make sense(ability to get off a jam), others make me wonder if they were watching the right player(only average straight line speed).

The biggest thing was the knee surgery after the season was over. I think he was getting projected as a 4th-5th round guy before he got hurt at whatever Senior Bowl type game he went to.

Now that it's over, overall thoughts on the Titans' draft, dew?

I really liked it overall. Morgan is obviously the best pick, but Rolle might have the highest upside. Getting a safety who could have starting potential in the 6th round is a fantastic value. I really like the Verner comparisons to Nick Harper and I think Rusty Smith can be a cheap, solid backup. I really, really like the Rennie Curran pick too. He's been compared favorably to Stephen Tulloch and I really like Tulloch as well. We could have our linebackers for the next 5-7 years in McRath, Tulloch and Curran.

I was hoping for a running back after we traded LenDale, but the top two are probably set with CJ and Ringer. It'll be interesting to see who we go after as undrafted free agents since there are some interesting names still out there.

What did you think?

Yeah I was hearing 3rd-5th rounds for him before the injury. Still, I would've thought he was worth a look late. He still hasn't signed with anyone yet

Jevan Snead signs UDFA deal with Tampa Bay.

Surprised that WR Shay Hodge didn't get drafted out of Ole Miss. He led the SEC in yards, yards per game, and receptions per game.

Didn't realize he got hurt after the season. That sucks.

I'm very pleased. I really wanted Morgan in the first and was ecstatic when he fell to us. I really like Curran as well, could definitely help this year too. I like that we added help in the secondary though the guys we brought in are sorta projects. Overall first impression, though, I think this is our best draft in a few years.

Yeah, last year's was solid all the way through, but I think this year's has more upside. Morgan, Curran, Verner and Rolle could all be starters for us at some point and Damian Williams could be a key in the return game - considering we had no second round pick, that's pretty good.

Dolphins draft really confuses me. Okay, I know you just released Porter, and you just let Taylor sign with the Jets. But you COULD have had Taylor back, and he wouldn't have been all that expensive. You just signed Dansby to play inside. You have Wake who needs lots of PT. Crowder is solid if healthy, and Torbor and Moses were decent as backups. I know you want to upgrade the talent of your linebacking corps, but...did you really need to draft four linebackers? And trade for another?

Stafon Johnson signs with the Titans. There's a running back for us - and a pretty good one.

awesome story, too. really wanted him to get drafted.

Yeah, I was surprised he wasn't. I'll definitely be pulling for him at Tennessee.

Nice to see Alteraun Verner go to Tennessee.

I like that pick. Charles Davis on the NFL Network compared him to Nick Harper. I like that comparison a lot.

I know he was really good at UCLA, but how do you think he'll translate to the NFL?

Yes, but it will probably take him some time to break through. He's not the best athlete or the strongest guy but he's extremely smart and used great technique and instincts (he's a film room rat). He has the record for most defensive touchdowns in UCLA history, most of those pick-6s were based on positioning himself well.

Thanks. Definitely sounds similar to Harper. And him being a bit of a project isn't a negative since we have Rod Hood and Tye Hill in the short term and Ryan Mouton and Jason McCourty in the long term. The more I hear, the more I like this Verner pick.
