DT is going to be loaded in this draft.

Gerald McCoy, Oklahoma

Marvin Austin, North Carolina (JR)

Ndamukong Suh, Nebraska

Terrence Cody, Alabama

Geno Atkins, Georgia

DeMarcus Granger, Oklahoma

Brian Price, UCLA (JR)

Those first 3 are potential top 10 picks, imo.

This draft will be freaking loaded.

Which is why I'm not so sure that Snead won't stay for his senior year. He'd be in amongst a handful of good QB's if he came out next year. However, if he continues to stay hot for this season and his senior season, then he'd probably be the sure-fire no.1 pick in 2011.

Yeah, but look at Bradford. I'm convinced he went back to school because he was going to be the #1 pick and didn't want to play for Detroit. If Snead comes out, he lets Bradford go #1 and has a better chance of a decent team moving up to get him ala NY Jets w/ Sanchez.

It gives him the ability to NOT go to a team he doesn't want and not look like an a-hole like Elway and Eli Manning.

Mccoy and Suh are probably top 5.

This is true.

that's why i laugh at teams that traded a first or second round pick in next year's draft for a worse pick in this year's draft.

Stop making me cry.

Top 30 draft-eligible players. Here are the top 5:

1. QB Jake Locker, Washington (6-3, 226)

The nation’s top quarterback prospect.

2. DT Gerald McCoy, Oklahoma (6-4, 298)

Has been downright dominant at times and consistently controls the line of scrimmage.

3. DT Ndamukong Suh, Nebraska (6-4, 302)

Makes as many plays as any defensive lineman in the country; always seems to be around the football.

4. S Eric Berry, Tennessee (5-11, 203)

One of the most instinctive safeties to come along in years. Looks like an instant impact player in the NFL.

5. QB Jimmy Clausen, Notre Dame (6-3, 223)

Made the necessary second-half adjustments last week vs. USC and looked very impressive in the fourth quarter, when it matted most.

I would take Suh No. 1

I love Suh. I haven't watched enough of him to be declarative about this, but the little I've seen reminds me of a slightly smaller Albert Haynesworth. He's a big DT, but still athletic enough to move around a bit.

is bradford going to stay at OU? what a complete disaster this year has been for him.

I think he has to. He has lost tens of millions with the decision to stay in school. Now he has to prove that he can return to health and that his arm is still an NFL arm.

I don't see any teams willing to bet anything more than a 5th or 6th rounder on a broken down QB with no NFL experience. I'd almost bet today that he would go undrafted.

Bradford could lose an arm and still be drafted.

He's basically already lost an arm. His throwing arm.

Shoulder surgery that will likely not have long-term effects.

The last time I can remember a top 5 pick getting seriously hurt was McGahee. And the Bills took him 23rd overall even though they knew he was going to miss his rookie season with his devastating knee injury and had no idea how he would bounce back afterword.

Bradford might actually be able to throw for NFL scouts before draft day (I haven't heard the timetable on the surgery), so that would be one advantage over McGahee. He will definitely slip because of this and quite possibly slip into the late 2nd or 3rd, but teams always take chances on potential elite talent. It's probably irrelevant anyway as he'll likely come back to school to try to drive his value back into the 1st round.

Every player who is drafted has no NFL experience so that doesn't mean anything.

He would not fall lower than the 2nd and probably still has a decent shot at the 1st.

If he is available I dont see the Vikings passing him up in the late 1st round. It all depends on health and the combine.

That would be outstanding and you're right. They don't have any other glaring needs in the short-term but will need to find another future QB. They aren't afraid of guys with injury concerns and had Adrian and Harvin (off-field too) fall into their laps lower than expected.

Also OU currently has a lot of JR's and SR's on the team that could potentially go to the NFL (including Murray, Brown, Browles, McCoy, Reynolds). We really don't have any clue as to who could declare, but that will have a large impact on Bradford if he is currently leaning towards staying one more year.

I think Bradford definitely leaves early. If he returned for another season and got hurt, his stock would plummet that much more (since he'd have the injury prone label).

I would be surprised if he goes lower than late 1st, early second since the surgery apparently will clear up his shoulder issues.

Locker has really shot up. Is he really the top draft eligible quarterback though?

Another year of coaching and separation from Willingham's poisonous influence could do him wonders.

His TD:INT ratio is still a bit of a downer to me, but he's improved his completion percentage each year (47.3 to 53.8 to 57.2) and his rating has improved each year as well.

His TD:INT this year is just 11:6, though, which is much better than two years ago (14:15). He has a prototypical NFL build with a strong arm and good mobility and I think some teams will fall in love with that.

The scouts have to love that he plays in a pro style offense. Imagine if he were on Tennessee with actual weapons playing in the same system he is at UW, he'd be an unquestioned top prospect.

The only reason he isn't a superstar is because of Willingham. Bad QB coaching combined with pretty dreadful talent around him. He really is the best athlete I've seen at QB whose throwing motion isn't all jacked up like VYs.

Agreed. He really could use that extra year. At this time, I'd rather have Clausen though Locker has the higher ceiling. I can see why a team would take Locker at 1.

Suh is definitely my #1 guy on the board. Russell Okung, Joe Haden and Arrelious Benn should be in the top 30, imo.

Man, this draft is loaded at DT.
